The Enigma of Behavior
Why do we behave in certain ways? Why do we sometimes act against our basic instincts and what we know is right?
The answer often lies in karma- the law of action, that irrefutable force that keeps the business of life transactional and ever-moving.
Even with the phenomenal work of great scholars and thinkers, from Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita to Socrates and Buddha, problems persist despite all the documented evidence and recommendations.
The only way to lead a reasonably satisfactory life with a good "quality of experience" is to understand the fundamentals of karma, unique to yourself and your own life.
The only non-negotiable thing is to follow the path of grace. They say a shortcut is the fastest way to reach a place where you never intended to go in the first place.
A Discussion on Karma
Yesterday, in a group of people with varied experiences and talents at the presentation of the Dholera Smart City- a mega project sprawling 750 acres in Gujrat- India, this question popped up.
Here’s what I had to say. It’s in the video, but let me document it in writing.
You know how wonderful our selective interpretation and Chinese whispers are, and despite 1000 attempts, people still remain where they are, so here it goes:

What is Karma?
Karma is simple: if you are hungry, you have to fill your own stomach. My good intention of filling your stomach will not satisfy your hunger, even if I place the food in front of you.
You have to ensure that the food goes into your stomach.
No amount of "ifs," "buts," or "wheys or whys" are going to change that.
To survive, you will have to fill your own stomach, and that is your karma.
The only advice I can give you is this: in times of stress, controversy, and when you are pushed into a corner, try your very best not to take the shortcut and adhere to the principle of grace I have explained earlier.

I will share two links with you that will surely put you hundreds of leagues ahead of others.
1. "Do Gems Work?" No they do not for 90% of the people
The first is my September 2008 article, "Do Gems Work? No, they don’t for 90% of the people." I think this is still my best work to date, where, for at least 75% of the article, I do not discuss gemstones or gemstone therapy at all.
I just discuss how remedial measures fail.
I’ve noticed that even though some people have gotten great benefit from applying the principles of this article, not just to gem therapy, but to their lives, the secret of Jyotish gemstones is often taken like a coded book.
It is The ultimate life secret but in today’ss time with the explosion of material, especially poor quality visual content on social media, where everybody is trying to pedal a secret remedy and everybody is shopping for a fast resolution to their problems, is only growing confusion.
What you need to know is and I hope just by your thought or your social share you are not increasing your negative karma.
What I can say also say categorically is that if the principles I describe in the article are followed, I can assure you that these principles and therapy will at least improve your life by one hundred percent. That is a straight double. How?
Once you implement these principles, the three "rights" or the 3R’s will start working for you: right people, right place, right time. What more do we want?
2. Destiny vs. Free Will
The second resource is a discussion on destiny versus free will. This will also answer the question of whether astrology works and how to choose the path of legends to have the best life, at least in the birth we can reasonably control our actions in.
For example, what did you see first today? What did you smell first today? What did you taste first today? What did you touch first today? What was the first action you took today? These are all conscious choices.
Using the questions and principles of reverse psychology, is your day looking better than yesterday, or are you doing the same stuff?
Real-Life Examples
I will give you two examples of how these principles have been applied to life and situations of various individuals in my long and rewarding consulting career, where people have given me the opportunity to bring about some change in their life.
This requires a huge amount of trust and commitment to confidentiality.
Example 1: The Umbrella
I cannot stop the rainfall, but getting an umbrella is a choice that I have.
Example 2: Avoiding the Truck
Let me set the context. There are some "shortcut" people who do not do the due diligence, and their only source becomes the first five pages of the search engine or some forum discussions with equally short-term people or dubious material published with some agenda to make up a statement that there is no organized work on remedial measures.
Well, just because you do not have access to it means God is kind, and God is responsible.
You may apply things properly, but there are people in this world who, despite saying, "take XYZ thing over your head in a clockwise direction," still manage to do it otherwise.
So, the example here is that if an accident is an irrefutable part of your karmic life map, it will happen.
However, good guidance, good karma, and good remedial measures can ensure that instead of getting hit by a truck, you just accidentally hit the post of your bed. That is how karmic law works.
Final Thoughts and Gratitude
In general, I do not share my day-to-day interactions primarily because of confidentiality. My interactions are always open and threadbare, and I do not mince my words.
This might not be conducive to those people who like to think that they are very conscientious and sensitive, which they are not- they are in denial and justify their short comings and lack of due diligence using this route.
The kind of people involved takes a tremendous amount of hard work and great results to be connected with people of this stature.
Since this was relevant, I am posting it today. I am very thankful to the individual who took this impromptu exchange on his mobile and sent it to me. Gratitude to you!
