 Goodbye My Respected Grand Master -A tribute to your lotus feet till we meet again in the next 

 Good morning.

 At the very outset, these are the visuals of the Royal Cremation Ceremony of the Grand Master Luang Pho Phra Mongkhonratanophas (Anan Deepthammo, R.T.) on 15th of December, the Marghshirsh Purnima, where he was finally laid to rest after one year of leaving his mortal body.

 Since last one year, throughout Thailand and the world, we have been involved in charity and doing donations, and me also in a very small way, praying for this day.

This is a very important day as stated in my post on 14th, where I highlighted the importance of Dattatreya Jayanti and the following day of Marghshirsh Purnima.

Now, I would like to clarify two things here, because my official account is the only authorized place to hear it from me, my singular opinion without any modifications and especially about Chinese whispers for revered monks, devotees, followers and lovers in Thailand.

 One opinion was that Guruji could not attend this ceremony as his own devotees and disciples wherever he was, wanted to perform the Guru Paduka Poojan, the respect to the slippers of the Guru.

Let me tell you two things very, very clearly.

 I have been deeply involved in this ceremony for last 1.5 years and I had full intention to attend it.

Whatever be the reasons I couldn’t be there, that you remembered me, mentioned me and thought about me is a huge thing for me.

 Secondly, wherever I am located as of now, there was no pooja performed for me.

In fact, to perform Guru Paduka Pooja for my own Guru, I traveled to very far outskirts on both of the days in certain exceptional circumstances and was able to do the needful.

 Now, that being said, I have immense love and respect for the Grand Master, a very frail and a gentle creature at his age, but a soul with huge strength.

 My initial interaction with Luang Pho was right at the outset of the COVID pandemic, where the initial six months were havoc with many people losing their lives.

But the most painful thing was that many of these people’s bodies were left abandoned.

Amongst many relief and welfare works, we met in a prayer meeting and then with his very frail hands, he took out a cylindrical talisman from his person and with his hands trembling, took it near my left hand shirt pocket and pinned it.

I asked him what exactly it is and he said only one word,

Tiger, Tiger, and you are going to need it.

It was a talisman with an ancient Tiger scroll for protection

 To cut a long story short, there are situations which you can’t even imagine. The deserted streets during the pandemic and the near halt of human activity made certain animals behave in a certain kind of way which will not be mentioned here.

A screenshot of that time is being attached with the date , and thankfully that kitty landed up on the wall of the Grandmaster.

So, no more man-eaters and I hope for me no more kitty adventures.

 Then when the first batch of Navratna was consecrated.-He attended the next day, and as I put the talisman on his hand, he sat with it for 15 minutes in deep contemplation, and as the various heads of different monasteries had gathered, he tied a common thread in all their hands and asked them to bless it.

 This is the first official Navratna medallion that is officially recognized, being consecrated and established in the great monastery in which Luango was the Grandmaster.

Over the years, in his frailty and quietude, I found a lot of strength in many stressful situations.

He is a soul of that stature that even presidents, prime ministers, and state heads all over the world would have to take an appointment and wait.

But as and when I could land up, I would just sit near him even though he might not say anything, but those 10 to 15 minutes made me energized yet again for the next round. I sometime yearn those moments when both

of us would just be seated in quietude.

Tell Me My Lucky Gemstone

 Finally, this year’s Mother’s Day, as my dear monk brother took the position once belonging to Luang Pho , the circle was completed.

Like I say, he always put me in the leadership position, and like when he put the talisman on my chest and told me that you are going to need it, I am now sure what he meant. But I think that kitty needed it more than me

 The very next year was the Year of the Tiger where my chair, called as throne by some, was bought by the monks from the Tiger Temple in Henan, establishing me and my position in the hierarchy of spiritualists and come to think of it- some called it as Mafia Chair from the movies.

 But perhaps the most significant thing that I am hugely in gratitude and debt to the Grandmaster is that when my umbrella was commissioned and the Chhatra was formally awarded to me, he, in all his frailty and old age, lovingly inscribed the holy symbols on the umbrella and also inscribed my name and the royal seal.

 The umbrella means that this individual is the representative of the Shankaracharya himself, and anyone who comes in the refuge of this person under this umbrella will have the full support and protection of the Shankaracharya for upholding dharma, truthfulness, righteousness.

 There was only one occasion where he gently admonished me and said to me that “you take things very very casually and do not observe the tradition and the norms and the respect that have to be given by people to your Chhatra umbrella and people should not casually even be able to touch you.”

Well, I was never good at leg glance,but what I told him made him chuckle.

 I respectfully with all my heart pray that Luang Pho is able to guide us from wherever he is, and I am sure that his clarity and serenity will help us fight the inner demons which might be even bigger than tigers.

I was eagerly looking forward to the ceremony and joining fellow monks and highly ascended souls and participating in my ceremony being the only Hindu to be accorded these customs, but God wanted me to be elsewhere.

 And I hope and pray that I shall be able to join you soon.

Goodbye Lungphu. You will always be the Grand Master, not me even though the worlds refers to

me by that title sometimes.

And Yes, The Sword of Truth Will only be raised to protect Dharma- And At any cost.
