1913 Nights: The Hidden Record in Thailand’s Wall Street

They said the hotel was too exposed.
He stayed away for 20 years.
They said the hotel would shut down during the pandemic.
He told them: “Endure.”
They said the corridors were dark.
He became the light.
The Hotel I Never Entered — Until Destiny Checked Me In
Thailand’s Silom district — home of the Jewelry Trade Center (JTC) — is the crown jewel of Southeast Asia’s gem and business world.
Right beside it stands the Holiday Inn Silom, a property I avoided for 20 long years, not out of disdain, but out of deep respect for my clients’ privacy and the purity of energetic interactions. I operated in silence. I stayed away from noise.
Together these two properties are Thailand’s answer to Wall Street.
But karma doesn’t knock politely. It reconstructs the road.

March 30, 2020 – The World Lockdown Begins
With only 20 rooms out of 800+ occupied and a skeleton crew of just 15 staff, the Holiday Inn Silom turned into a near-silent mausoleum of marble and memory.
Elevators halted. Corridors were unlit. Operations barely survived under SHA quarantine compliance.
Before reaching there:
- I spent 4 days on a railway platform
- 3 days in a mosque
- 3 more in a park
And Yes, in the park on the 2nd night- i felt a cold & slippery touch in wee hours of the night As I was catching some shut eye- opening my eyes- i see what:
A 9 Feet Komodo Dragon staring at me with his tongue out- its not exactly a boring life- is it?
Because sometimes… what you are searching for is searching for you —
on the road you tried to avoid the most.
And the hotel I never entered?
I entered.
And never left.

1,913 Nights Later – A World Record- with one missing Rosetta night tucked away today on
25-06-2025: A 2025 date
WW1 started in 1914
WW 3 starts today
I didn’t come to stay.
I came to stand —
For those who still believed in light amidst lockdown.
I told the stakeholders: “Don’t shut down. If you do, you’ll pay in ways the balance sheet can’t show.”
Today, the same hotel runs at nearly 80% occupancy.
My own room became a sanctuary of hope and mentorship.
Staff morale shifted. Energy changed. Guests returned.
And I stayed.
The Guinness World Record for the longest hotel stay by a foreigner (previous: 182 days)
is now surpassed by a factor of 10× — 1,913 days and still counting.

The Call From Afghanistan
I never pick up unknown numbers. In fact most of the times- I don’t pick up known numbers too.
99.99999% of the time, I let them pass.
But someone wise routed the call through Afghanistan — a land of my dangerous gem-mining past- Circa 2011- The Silk Route
I picked it up.
The voice said,
“Guruji, you’ve set a world record. We’ve been trying to reach you for weeks.”
And Then the Throne Was Revealed
- Monks blessed the lobby.
- Models and diplomats sat in reverence.
- Staff offered garlands and warmth.
- Gemstone Universe became the beating heart of the hotel, occupying the No. 1 address at Holiday Inn Silom —
The Boutique Store at the world’s colored gemstone capital.
The most prestigious energy center in Thailand’s Wall Street.

Lessons for the Soul-Bonded Seekers

2 days back they honoured me at the aviation show and today this- Even though they make me a Hero- it is I who learn- and my doors are ever open to those who have NO LIMITS- at least in their minds and that is the 9:12 way- The Guruji Shrii Arnav’s way.
PS1: I state explicitly and clearly here that there is no particular institution that I endorse and what I can speak for, is only about myself and a bit about gemstone universe.
