The 9:12 Way
Yesterday unfolded like a sacred scroll — each moment inscribed with meaning, each encounter stitched into the fabric of something far greater than mere coincidence.
I began my day at 3:33 a.m. — the divine hour. In the world of the 9:12 Way, we call this the Ladder Hour — a moment when unseen forces rearrange themselves silently in our favor.
At the magnificent monastery of Wat Pariwat, I had the honor of interacting and talking with Lungpho Somchai, the revered Chief Monk — his serenity matched only by his timeless wisdom.
A good game of catch- catch with the sacred offerings/ prasad - Oranges/ Bananas assured my that my hands and reflexes are working just fine even though it cannot be said of my eyes.
I am very fortunate sometimes to have the blessings and company of Luang Pho- I connect to my inner child.
The other day- A french psychologist asked me- What is your one true power?
My answer- I try my very best to keep my INNOCENCE INTACT- Its always better this way.
His sacred fan, adorned with nine symbolic gems and the royal crest, was a striking artifact. Yet something stirred within.
I gently shared that these gems, although gifted by a noble from another land, did not resonate with the authentic frequencies of the true Navaratna.( Zoom into the fan in the image- You shall see the divine nine gems)
Real energy cannot be immitated. It must be aligned.
So I offered to recalibrate it — with authentic gems that carry the true power of blessings.
Well they do not call me the Father of Astro- Gemmology for a good reason- I hope so.
Then came the second movement in this cosmic raga — a meeting with a royal prince, whose humility spoke louder than any title.
He stood beside me not as a sovereign, but as a fellow seeker.
In silent reverence before the Buddha, we bowed — equal, empty, present.
And then — the crescendo.
At the foot of the Ganesha shrine, a man in a wheelchair reached out — not for help, but to bless me- yes you did it right.
Even though the general worldly perception is that- people take blessings from me- I will let you know - its quite the opposite- Yes, It is-Read my earlier post on Charan Sparsh- touching the feet of the Guru - in this the shadow of the seeker becomes 4 times his size and all shortcomings are left at the feet of the teacher.
I instinctively raised both hands in return — not as a Guru, but as a child before grace.
In that moment, the wheelchair became a throne.
And I realized — it is not we who lift others.
It is their courage that holds us upright.
“The Cracked Bowl”
When I was a child( I still am ) a saint gave me a cracked alms bowl — chipped and imperfect. I protested:
“But this is broken.”
He smiled:
“That’s why it can sing when the wind touches it.”
Yesterday, I met three such bowls —
A monk with eternal silence,
A prince with royal stillness,
And a man who rolled with thunder in his smile.
As I lay to rest last night, I whispered to the stars —
What a beautiful day the Universe had written.
And I remembered one truth from the 9:12 Way:
“Blessings don’t always come wrapped in gold.
Sometimes, they arrive in purple fans, orange robes, and unexpected smiles.”
The Buddha once said:
Three things cannot be hidden:
The Sun
The Moon
The Truth
We all witnessed it yesterday and were blessed by them.
But Param Ajahn what about the baby
Doing just fine. God is Great.. More on that later
