A worn-out linen shirt, trembling fingers, and a velvet pouch that looked like it had passed through lifetimes.
The younger man beside him was different. Suited. Educated. Eyes like spreadsheets.
“I’m just the facilitator,” he said. “He doesn’t speak much English. But the object he carries speaks every language known to spirit.”
They opened it together.

The young man hesitated.
