Should You Be Afraid of Friday the 13th?- Nah. But I Think You Should Be Wary of March the 14th.

Posting this today March 12 , 2026 so that some

Might utilise tomorrow and day after. have fun. be safe

Certain dates acquire an aura around them.

Friday the 13th is one of those days.

Across cultures people speak about strange events, hidden forces, bad luck, restless spirits and mysterious disturbances. The number itself has gathered centuries of folklore and cinematic exaggeration.

But if you ask me honestly…

No, I am not afraid of Friday the 13th.

What fascinates me is the psychology and symbolism behind it.

A Very Interesting Day

Just day before yesterday I began the day celebrating Holi on Rang Panchmi.

People applied gulal on my forehead as a mark of respect, love and affection and quite a bit of color landed on my white shirt.

A few hours later I arrived at an event hosted by Louis Vuitton, where I had been invited as a guest of honor.

I did not change my shirt.

The colors of Holi were still there.

While we were walking out someone asked me:

“Guruji, what kind of a man are you?”

My spontaneous answer was simple:

Guruji is the kind of a man who can play Holi and then deliver a talk at Louis Vuitton.

Life does not need compartments.

Morning can be tradition.

Afternoon can be global luxury.

Evening can turn into a philosophical conversation about spirits, omens and hidden forces.

And tomorrow happens to be Friday the 13th.

The Ancient Whisper Behind Friday the 13th

Long before modern films turned this date into a symbol of fear, many ancient traditions already carried a subtle discomfort about the number thirteen.

In early cosmology the number twelve represented completeness: twelve months of the year, twelve zodiac signs, twelve divisions of the day and night. Twelve symbolized harmony and order.

When the number thirteen appeared, it represented a step beyond the orderly cycle — into the unknown.

In medieval Christian tradition the unease deepened through the memory of the Last Supper, where thirteen sat at the table before the dramatic events that followed.

But the symbolism goes even further back.

In Norse mythology, the gods once gathered for a sacred feast in Valhalla. Twelve deities were present in harmony when an uninvited thirteenth guest arrived — Loki.

Loki’s arrival disrupted the balance and triggered events that led to tragedy.

From these fragments of myth and memory grew the strange aura that surrounds the number thirteen.

Humanity has always sensed that certain moments represent a crossing from the visible world into the hidden one.

The Astrological Parallel — The 8th House

In Jyotish this crossing is beautifully reflected in the 8th house.

The eighth house governs:

  • the occult
  • hidden forces
  • transformation
  • sudden events
  • the mysteries of life and death

When people fear Friday the 13th, what they are really reacting to is the symbolism of the unseen dimension of life.

But the greater danger is not spirits.

The greater danger is an unstable mind.

If the mind becomes disturbed, every shadow becomes frightening.

This is why I caution people against constantly feeding their imagination with horror narratives and sensational imagery. The mind begins to manufacture ghosts of its own.

The Role of Pitru Dosha

Many disturbances attributed to unseen forces actually have deeper karmic roots.

In Jyotish this is often understood through Pitru Dosha — ancestral imbalances that echo across generations.

Life is never isolated from lineage.

Understanding these karmic patterns and addressing them with awareness can bring remarkable clarity.

For those interested in exploring deeper, I have written extensively about:

  • Pitru Dosha
  • The Nine Must-Ask Questions Before Marriage

These frameworks reveal how relationships and ancestral energies often shape the circumstances people experience in life.

A Curious Coincidence

While attending the Louis Vuitton gathering another thought crossed my mind.

The house has recently launched a limited edition fragrance called Meteorite.

Meteorites are fascinating objects.

They travel silently across the cosmos for millions of years…

before suddenly appearing on Earth.

Quiet journey.

Sudden arrival.

Quite similar to the way many events unfold in life.

Pressure builds quietly.

And then something falls from the sky.

So Should You Fear Friday the 13th?

Not really.

Fear rarely solves anything.

But awareness does.

When people speak about omens they are really sensing signals from the deeper layers of existence.

Some signals come from psychology.

Some from karma.

Some from circumstances that remain invisible until the moment they appear.

And That Brings Me to the Question

Should you be afraid of Friday the 13th?

No.

But I am far more curious about March the 14th.

Because history has an interesting habit.

People spend their energy fearing the day everyone is watching…

While the real story quietly begins the day after.

And What will Happen on March 14 between 07 am-09 am- that was in my stories 3 days back- wasn’t it Sherlock Holmes or Cook Bond- Wherever you are at
