WED= World Earth Day (Phew)

First and foremost, I would like to wish everybody a very happy world, earth day that is celebrated worldwide every year on April 22. So, in a way, it is also the Mother’s Day or I should classify it better by naming it. The universal Mother’s Day, because the mother earth is our universal mother and that is an irrefutable fact as we shall learn below.

May I gently remind as I have had on previous occasions that I still don’t know the meaning of heavyweight words such as sustainability and bio diversity. That is what I have consistently maintained over the years, but the above is a half truncated statement.

Why?

Because the correct statement is that I have been trying my very best to understand, and by the qualities of these words by practising their virtues and in cooperating them in my life.

BUT… Today, let me complete the statement that most of the individuals as well as organisations using these words for whatever ends have nearly next to 0 level understanding, let alone application of words such as sustainability and biodiversity.

Why the Earth is the universal mother?

In one sentence because

The Earth nourished and does not judge

I leave the above to your imagination and contemplation, but in my TEDx talk on mental health around three years back,

I had made a recommendation as well as an appeal that the only thing that we need to do to overcome all the so-called problems besotting the mother earth Including pollution and deforestation is that every single person plants a tree on their birthday.

It is as simple as that and allow me to share that if and only if just 25% of the worlds population, does it, the Earth will be at its majestic best in just Nine years?
