At the very outset- good morning and wish you a very happy Ugadi, which is the Indian New Year and what is so special is that we start the New Year with six planets in the sign of Pisces and for those who are astrology lovers, the Capricorn ascendant in the morning is a classic example of the curse of the snakes commonly misrepresented as the kalsarp yoga, if something like that ever existed.
Any which way I wish you health, happiness, abundance and a very happy New Year and I started the New Year by eating a mango and always remember it takes two to tango.

What is Yugadi/ Ugadi?
Yugadi (or Ugadi) marks the beginning of the New Year according to the lunisolar calendar, especially celebrated in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and parts of Maharashtra.
The word Yuga means “age” and Adi means “beginning” — thus Yugadi means “the beginning of a new epoch.” By the way this day celebrates the creation of the Universe by Lord Brahma.
It also ushers in the sacred Vikram Samvat 2082 — a calendar that balances moon phases with solar motion, aligning our time with the cosmic pulse. The name Vikram is in honour of the wise and courageous King Vikaramaditya- Yes, the same King as in Vikram and Betal.
Traditionally, the day begins with prayers, purifying oil baths, and the tasting of ‘Ugadi Pachadi’ — a symbolic mixture of six tastes. But in its most distilled form:
“Yugadi teaches us that life is a mix of jaggery and neem —the sweet and the bitter. To live well is to honour both.”
Now, a true story from a international hotel lobby…
Having returned to this part of the world after a long time- I was struck by the harsh reality — many hard-working hotel staff serve guests with 16–18 hour shifts and earn mere peanuts.
And yet, some of them offer a smile that no training can produce — a smile of inner grace.
One such soul served me coffee and water, unfailingly and with charm. I invited her to enjoy a rooftop bar view and a good meal on her day off — just as a token of human gratitude. No motive. No ambiguity. Just simple, dignified appreciation.
But in today’s world, here’s what happened:
The same message was received in two wildly opposite ways:
- To some: “Guruji invited her — such honour!”
- To others: “Could this be flirting?”
And so, today, I say this without any filters:
“I don’t know much about dating. But I do know this — when grace is mistaken for game, and kindness is seen as currency, we’re living in a very confused age.”
Let’s talk attraction. If it’s real — it cannot be pixelated.
It’s born in authentic presence, not profiles.
It happens when two beings match each other’s honesty, fire, and frequency.
No drama. No hiding. Just recognition.

“A mango doesn’t text the tree to say it’s ripe.
It simply becomes undeniable.”
So this Yugadi, start with a mango.
Then look the world in the eye and say —
