72nd International Gem Show — 7 + 2 = 9. On this sacred day, the gem world gathers at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Cycles complete, new cycles begin, and opportunities sparkle for those with eyes to see.

Apple 17 Launch — The long-awaited Apple 17 series (including the Air and Pro) is unveiled today—ironically, in saffron orange, Guruji’s signature color. By divine synchronicity, my own device is expected to be hand-delivered today. Thanks to good folks at Apple.

Now- these clips are from my real time, live interaction with a nice group of graduate Gemologists, people in the retail trade and industry representatives where defying convention who have landed in Bangkok- the World’s Coloured Gemstone Capital for the 72nd International Gem Show.

I just walked around the Central business district and took their mighty interesting questions. But this 10-15 minutes walk assured me that the future is bright and the newer breed of gemstone adventurers, treasure Hunters, as well as Gemologists have their hearts, skills and talents inthe right place.

Not from a studio. Not with staged backdrops.

But from the chaotic heartbeat of Silom CBD—

traffic roaring, gems changing hands, sun blazing, coconuts cooling—

and behind us, the towering Jewelry Trade Center.

This is gemology alive. The visuals are raw, real, and unforgettable.

Lessons for the Next Generation

Look the part. Act the part. Pajamas and backpacks belong in classrooms. At the gem show, you must carry yourself with dignity and precision.

From Samples to Reality. Half-carat diamonds in schools cannot prepare you for a 9.51 ct wonder. Real gems teach gravitas, respect, and safe handling.

The Blue Melon Diamond (9.51 ct). Once with the Listerine & Gillette families, now dazzling at this show—merging hues of blue like imagination itself.

Rahul Kakadia at Christie’s. A proud moment—an Indian helming one of the world’s most prestigious houses.

The Bigger Picture. One day at the International Gem Show = years of education. New finds, new locales, new negotiations. And the eternal reminder:
