Since time immemorial, the mystique  and   power  of gemstones have enchanted mankind. People have   worn gemstones as a mark of respect and status, and to gain fortune, wealth, well-being and protection. However, choosing the right gemstone is a complex art.
You can wear a particular stone. based on your zodiac sign. Here are some suggestions:

Aries and Scorpio

Taurus and Libra

These two signs are ruled by the planet Venus, the planet of aesthetics, beauty, luxury, finesse and love.The gemstones suitable for these two signs are diamond, white sapphire, blue topaz, white tourmaline and pristine white rock crystal.

Gemini and Virgo

These two signs are ruled by Mercury, the planet of intelligence, communication, analytical abilities, humour and finance. The gemstones suitable for these signs are emerald, peridot, onyx, green  tourmaline  and  green agate.

Cancer

This sign is ruled by Moon, which stands for emotions, mental make up, spiritual strength, creativity and marital bliss. The gemstones suitable for this sign are natural pearl/nacre, blue sheen moonstone, and white coral (in some cases).

Leo

This sign is ruled by Sun, that stands for dignity, respect, honour, self esteem and special position in life. The gemstones suitable are unheated ruby, red tourmaline, and spinel.

Sagittarius and Pisces

These   signs   are   ruled   by Jupiter, which is a planet of good luck, wealth, great fortune, divine knowledge and divine intervention in times of difficulty. The gemstones representing the divine energies of Jupiter are yellow sapphire, yellow tourmaline, citrine, imperial gold and topaz, and heliodor.

Capricorn and Aquarius

These signs are ruled by Saturn, the planet of name, reputation, Karmic challenges, longevity, maturity and stamina. The gems representing the energies of Saturn are blue sapphire, amethyst, iolite, blue tourmaline and blue agate.
Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your gem:

  • The gem should be natural. It should not be treated to improve appearance.
  • All gemstones, except diamond, should be a minimum of two carats in weight.
  • Whether the gemstone has been set in a ring or pendant it should touch the skin.
  • Once you have worn a gem at an auspicious time, you should not take it off.
  • Better the cut, colour, clarity and carat weight, better the efficiency of the gem.
  • It is advisable to consult a certified gemologist before wearing a gemstone.
