Gemstones are treated to enhance their appearance and to hide flaws so that they look beautiful and attractive.

There are several treatments for Gemstone enhancement. I am mentioning some of them. Itâ€™s quite possible that some if these can be applied individually and some in combination.

Majority of Gemstones are treated and are mostly consumed for commercial grade Jewelry.

In Garuda Purana, Sri Sut Ji Goswami says in the Chapter 72,
