I have been wearing emerald for past 15 years. I have progressed well in my career (after a long struggle). Recently, one astrologer told me to wear yellow sapphire in addition to emerald. Later I found out that sapphire and emerald can not be worn together.

Another astrologer suggested wearing “Moonga” and suggested to not wear emerald or sapphire. Now I am completely confused. I still continue to wear emerald but would like to know if it is the right stone for me. If I should wear a stone or not. I am a doctor by profession. 1) He has been wearing an Emerald. He has been recommended Emerald just based on his moon sign. What his earlier Astrologer has failed to consider that Mercury the ruling planet of Emerald stone is a block creating planet for Cancer Ascendant being the lord of the 12^th house of expenditure and losses and the 3^rd house of siblings and short distance travel.

2) The second error which has worked out strangely positively is that he has been wearing the Emerald for 15 years. The period of maximum effectivity of an Emerald is maximum 5 years after which it should be changed for any kind of astrological benefits and results.

3) The third thing given the above two explanations is that most likely he as been wearing a non Jyotish Quality non effective stone that has had no impact at all on him.

These are just 2% in the world by most conservative estimates.

Anything which is just 2% in the world would definitely not be cheap or cheapest as you put it.

These fine quality pearls are very expensive, difficult to source and are valuable.

A certificate of such a pearl based on X Ray Radiography could cost anywhere from INR 1400/- to US ($) 300/- depending on the labs and specifications tested.

If the expression cheapest and best is India context specific and often used in several places in India with unrealistic expectations then one can buy bluff Chinese Cultured pearls at INR 3000/- per kilo should you find the right source.

Even cheaper ones will be available depending on quality.

And please note I have given the rate per kilo and not per carat.

These are then sold to unsuspecting buyers who are not aware of the background information at anywhere from INR 500-INR 5000 per carat which the buyer may find as affordable or cheap as Astrological stones but unfortunately these have no astrological powers. To get 1/2 carat of Diamond one has to mine and process around 1 tonne of ore whereas to get 1 carat of Emerald one has to mine and process around 5 tonnes of ore so you can assess the ratios.

This data I recalled from the time I was doing my Gemological studies so its from 25 years back so might be off by a minor margin but not much but yes High quality Emeralds are much more rarer than Diamonds.

The Big 3 of the colored Gemstone world are Rubies, Sapphires ( Blue) and Emeralds and out of these 3 if you see the market trends both high quality Rubies and Emeralds today as of May 2018 command a higher market price than White diamonds.

The Only exception to this is Fancy colored Diamonds that are rare in supply and come oft and in between and are in the domain of only the collectors.
