Comments This is a great example of how to implement Gemstone therapy correctly especially for those on a budget. Gorgeous unheated Yellow Sapphire with fantastic clarity levels. The mounting of the ring is like the throne of the planetary God which in this case is Jupiter. The mounting is made of Gold to save costs and the ring is made in silver. No compromise is made on the Gemstone quality which is a great thing to do.  Here is an example wherein the implementation is correct despite budgetary restraints. Great unheated, untreated clear gem above 2 carats set mounted in gold. Where there is a will there is a way! In fact, the two tone effect has quite a charming aura of its own!

Things we don’t like and you shouldn’t either- The Coral-Red/White that you are wearing might just be a Camel Bone or plastic and has no Jyotish Value. Scam watch alert. Cases leading to failure of Gemstone therapy!

Natural Organic Japanese Organic Red Coral of 4.34 carats.Ventral and Dorsal Views to show wood grain effect. Gemstoneuniverse.com

In recent times we have come across Corals both white and red those are not corals at all. These are sold on various auctions websites and some astrology websites and we actually paid to procure them to unearth this sham.

What is a Coral?

Corals are actually the skeletal remains of a marine polyp. The fleshy skin polyps secrete a carbonic substance from which Coral grows like branches and trees in the warm waters of the ocean at a depth ranging from 10 feet to 500 feet.

Around 95% of the Coral is made up of Calcium Carbonate, around 3 % of magnesium carbonate and trace elements of iron.

There is heavy demand for organic Red Coral from Japan as it has the characteristic Bright Red Uniform color often referred to as the Mediterranean Ox Blood Color as this is much desired.

Heavy Demand leads to a Scam

Recently, we found out that some unethical elements are buying Camel Bone, bleaching it to make it pure white and then dyeing it with Red Dye and finally wax filling it and coating it to produce Red Coral Simulants that are being sold as Red Corals to unsuspecting public. These are priced anywhere from $2(INR 90) per carat $20(around INR 1000) per carat.

Please be aware that these are not Red Corals at all leave alone organic red Corals produced in the sea and have no Jyotish Value and will not deliver the planetary results of Mars. When we contacted many of the sellers on the auction website to ask about the organic nature of the Coral and why it was priced so low- We received Zero, yes Zero replies from the seller.

How to differentiate Real Organic Japanese Red Coral from a Fake One!

The answer lies in the nature. Generally the Ventral/Top side of the Coral is highly polished and is free from any marks or indentations. However the dorsal side/back side of the Japanese Red Coral has the characteristic tell tale wood grain effect– line/lines-white or brown in color, groove pits and striations.

Featured here in this picture is a fine Japanese Red Coral from our collection of fine Natural Planetary Gemstones and Talismans that has both the Ventral and Dorsal Views that will make the marks of nature quite clear. If the dorsal side of the Coral is virtually free from any marks you can be assured 99% of the time that it is not a natural Coral!

Please ensure that when purchasing a Red Coral the certificate should read Natural Organic Red Coral.

What is a Jyotish Quality Coral?

Jyotish quality Red Coral should be

– Fully Natural and organic. Precious Biogenic material!

– Created in the sea by marine polyp.

– Be free from any dyeing or wax filling.

– Should have even color.

– AND SHOULD NOT BE A CAMEL BONE OR PLASTIC.

We remain dedicated to the sacred art of planetary Gemology and our patrons.

Patrons interested in entry level Jyotish Quality Gemstones should contact us directly with their requirements.

Patrons interested in entry level Jyotish Quality Gemstones should contact us directly with their requirements.

At the very outset we would like to clarify that the Planetary Gemstones featured on our blog as rings and pendants have already been shipped out. This is quite clear because we mention the patron location, price among other details related to the Gemstone. This can be verified in our testimonial section wherein some gracious patrons have written about their experience at Gemstoneuniverse.com. Still we receive some mails from patrons who want the same pice that has already been shipped out!

After some of the entry level Jyotish Gemstones were featured on the blog there have been a lot of enquiries from patrons worldwide. If you have seen some pictures of our inventory here on the blog as well on our Facebook page you would know that we carry huge amounts of inventory. It is just not possible for us to list the whole inventory because of several reasons on the website.

Even though the gemstones on our website are reasonably priced ( Yes 1/6th of retail), and we bring in tremendous value with certification, appraisal and buyback we understand that  for some patrons even this price is out of reach and they would be interested in still lesser priced gemstones. Please do your research. We stand by our claim.

We would also like to point out that Description, taking the photograph of the gemstones and uploading other relevant details takes around 2 hours for one gem! It’s not possible for us to list entry level Jyotish Gemstones on the website.

Meanwhile what is an entry level Jyotish Gemstone?

– The gem has to be fully natural.

– The gem has to be fully treatment free.

– The gem should have a minimum clarity level of 75% and above.

– The gem should be able to provide the planetary energies of the planet it is intended for.

You can view some of the entry level gemstones by clicking the link below:

http://gemstoneuniverse.com/blog/?s=entry

When we procure gemstones or cut individual pieces all the gemstones are not equal. They vary on the 4C’s of cut, clarity, color and carat weight. Whatever we feel is exceptional is already on the website. But still there are gemstones which qualify on the criteria of the above 4 parameters of the entry level Jyotish Gemstone definition.

Patrons interested in entry Level Jyotish Gemstones should contact us directly through the contact form on our website or directly send us a e mail with their requirement and budget. An example may look like:

Interested in 2+ carat  Blue Sapphire in approximate price range of $500-$700.

Once we have understood your specific requirement we will search our inventory for something suitable and get back to you. If you evince interest we will ask you to make a deposit of around $50 which is fully refundable but acts as a security that we are not moving up a blind alley. We will send you pictures of 2/3 gemstones that match the criteria and proceed from there.

Please do not come up with unreasonable and unreal demands such as

I want a 5 carat Ruby for $200/-

For a demand like this please contact your jeweller and the astrologer who actually made this recommendation. They will make even a 10 carat bluff thermal diffused and glass filled ruby at $10. Don’t be obsessed with weight. Target clarity and lack of treatment.

Please do not waste our time. Do your research and then send us a mail. We want to give our best to interested patrons who really want to implement planetary Gemstone therapy properly.

Guruji, Your thoughts on wearing Blue Sapphire in Gold, Silver and Asthdhatu and what is Pitambari Neelam? In which metal does Blue Sapphire gives best results? Question asked by a patron on Facebook.

September 15, 2010 by gemstoneuniverse 13 Comments

Guruji, Your thoughts on wearing Blue Sapphire in Gold, Silver and Asthdhatu and what is Pitambari Neelam? In which metal does Blue Sapphire gives best results. . Question asked by a patron on Facebook.

Natural Unheated Ceylon Blue Sapphire of 2.06 cts Gemstoneuniverse.com Natural Unheated Ceylon Blue Sapphire of 2.06 cts Gemstoneuniverse.com

Namaste Narendra,

I hope that you are doing well by the blessings of the almighty. I was travelling in the last 2 weeks hence was unable to take up your question.

At the very outset I would like to clarify that this question requires an in depth explanation that is beyond the scope of a blog post but still I will try my best.

Neelam/ Blue Sapphire the most powerful gemstone of Lord Saturn/ Shani is a very versatile gemstone. In general Neelam gives best results in Silver. Regardless of the position of Saturn in the horoscope Neelam generally gives good results in Silver.

Taking the sacred art of planetary gemstone therapy a notch higher would help us ascertain the perfect metal for setting the Blue Sapphire that would give us added benefits. For example is Saturn is a powerful  planet in the horoscope and Saturn is posited in the signs of Sun or Jupiter such as Leo, Sagittarius or Pisces the Blue Sapphire will give excellent results in Gold for these planets represent the metal gold and they have become the depositor of Saturn in the horoscope. Similarly if Saturn is posited in the sign of Cancer-the sign representing Moon then Silver would be the metal that will give best results.

Moving on to your mention about the Asht Dhatu or a mix of 8 metals- In general these 8 metals are  Gold, Copper, Brass, Platinum, silver, Aluminium, Tin and Iron. In some other texts this combination is given as Gold, Copper, Brass, Platinum, silver, Aluminium, lead and Iron. The latter combination is considered more authentic but I would like to point out three things:

– Setting of Blue Sapphire in Asht Dhatu is not mentioned in any of the sacred texts at all.

– Setting of the Blue Sapphire in Asht Dhatu has been mentioned in some sub standard books on Planetary Gems coming out of Haridwar and Bihar written by self proclaimed dubious tantriks and Astrologers. These are abundantly available at Bus and Railways stations.

– No ethical bench jeweller would ever mix lead in the 8 metal mix because pure lead will damage other metals. Even if someone says that lead is included in all probability it is a lie just to satisfy the clients desire.

Take it from me; setting of any gemstone in Asht Dhatu will not bring any miraculous effects. Yes, Gemstone might get damaged in turn.

Moving onto your second question about what is a Pitambari Neelam. I think it is a brilliant question and represents the crowning glory of the sacred art of Planetary Gem Therapy and is vital information available to only a selected few. Pitambari is a word derived from Peet( Yellow) and Ambar( Like Blue Sky).  Pitambari Neelam is a Bi colored Sapphire that clearly exhibits both the yellow and the Blue color. This beautiful gemstone is also known as Ganga- Jamuna( After the two sacred rivers) in common Hindi language.  A very powerful Gemstone it should be used when Saturn is posited in the signs of Jupiter or when Saturn and Jupiter combine together in the horoscope and Saturn period is in operation. The Same logic applies to Jupiter.  A very powerful Gemstone it is tobe worn only after proper recommendation. The consecration of this gemstone has some additional steps which render this even more powerful.

I hope I have addressed your questions.

With Blessings and Love

Kareena Kapoor (Hindi: करीना कपूर; born on September 21, 1980),<1> often informally referred to as Bebo,<2><3> is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. During her career, Kapoor has received five Filmfare Awards and has been noted for her performances in a range of film genres;<4> these include her work from contemporary romantic dramas to comedies, period films to major Bollywood productions, as well as less publicised independent films.<5><6>

Born into a family where both her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and her elder sister Karisma were actors, Kapoor faced the media spotlight from a very young age, but did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… became India’s highest-grossing film in the overseas market in 2001, and is one of her biggest commercial successes to date.<7> After receiving negative reviews for a series of repetitive roles, Kapoor accepted more demanding parts in order to avoid being typecast,<8> and was consequently recognized by critics for displaying greater versatility as an actress.<9><10> Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career<11> and she was later noted for her performances in the critically acclaimed Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006).

In 2007, Kapoor received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Jab We Met, a romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. She went on to play the lead female role in the thriller Kurbaan (2009), for which she earned critical acclaim, and the drama 3 Idiots (2009), which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Having done so, Kapoor has established herself as a leading actress of the Hindi film industry.<10><5> In addition to movie acting, Kapoor is a regular stage performer and has launched her own clothing line in association with being the brand ambassador for the retail chain Globus.

The gorgeous Kareena Kapoor uses the power of planetary gemstones for good luck and success. Her favourite gemstones are Yellow Sapphire the gemstone of Jupiter which is also the gemstone for knowledge, good luck, wealth and fortune and a Natural Pearl  that represents the positive powers of the moon which in turn represents intellect, intelligence, beauty and acceptance by the masses. A classical combination in the gem therapy this combination of Yellow Sapphire and Natural Pearl has helped several individuals amass wealth and fortune and helped them attain their objectives. Seen here in the picture Kareena wearing the Yellow Sapphire in the index finger and the Natural Pearl in the little finger.

When Did recession start and when did it end- Live report from 46th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Show- Unheated Lot of Burma Rubies- Lowest Grade starts at $3000 per carat and the Highest Grade at $9000 per carat- Where Will the common man who needs Gem Therapy the most afford these! And those consultants who recommend a 5 carat Ruby to the ignorant buyer should watch their step!

Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies Gemstoneuniverse.com Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies Gemstoneuniverse.com

It is the 3rd day of the 46th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Show and this fair evokes mixed feelings. Even though no major deals are happening the prices of natural gemstones are still going higher. This substantiates the fact that Gemstones are the best investment-better than stocks, land, gold or bullion but that story is for later!

The Asia Pacific Buying division of Gemstoneuniverse.com is participating in the show and our patrons who are attending the show and those who are in Thailand are welcome to meet us.

Coming back to the main subject of this report is this rare lot of Burma Rubies (Please see attached pic).  Each one of this pear shaped Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies has a Gem clarity grade of VV2 or higher. The lowest priced Ruby in this lot is $3000 per carat and the highest one is $9000 per carat.  Hence average price of this lot will be roughly around $6000 per carat (INR 3, 00,000 per carat). Think about it dear patrons- When this price is for hard seasoned professionals who have been able to get this price after hectic negotiations where does the normal individual with no background in Gemology stand. Each of these lovely miracles of nature is certified by GRS and the GIA.

We receive many calls from patrons who do a lot of research on the internet but have never seen or felt a natural ruby in their hand and when these patrons ask for specifics such as Imperial Pigeon Blood color it becomes so difficult to explain.

In addition there are many Astrologers with no knowledge of gemology and no knowledge of the sacred text either who mindlessly give recommendations such as wear a 5 carat Ruby. Here see the truth- it is in front of you.

If you see the natural Ruby inventory at Gemstoneuniverse the average price is $575 per carat( INR 28,750/-) . Don’t Let these go. They will be super effective for Gem therapy and remember we have listed them at this price because we are devoted to the cause and some of the finished rubies in our online inventory was fashioned from the rough that we owned ourselves.  Our online Ruby inventory can be viewed online at the link below:

http://www.gemstoneuniverse.com/choose-gem/natural-ruby-gemstones.html

Remember we told you some months back that we procured a small lot of White Sapphires that was totally natural and unheated after 2 years- we meant it.

Come to the show yourself and among more than a thousand suppliers get us 1 yes you are reading right 1 White Sapphire that is unheated and untreated and weighs above 2 carats. Same for the Natural Burma ruby, Give us a Burma Ruby that is certified Natural above 2 carats below $3000 per carat and we will buy from you.

This report has been written with you in mind. Yes many conclusions come out of this report –Gems as an investment tool and most importantly the future of Natural Unheated Ruby now is Mozambique and Madagascar ruby. Get them while the prices are low.

We at Gemstoneuniverse will still continue to work harder for our dear patrons! Many more pictures from our stall and other reports from the show in a couple of days!

God Bless!

Things we don’t like but this will save us a lot of precious time, save a lot of your time and may help you in taking the right direction- Random requests for Gemstone recommendation, casual discussions of horoscopes! Please don’t waste time and stop us from doing good, quality work!

The live messenger service at Gemstoneuniverse.com is one of its kind!. It is operated and managed by a highly qualified trained team of professionals who are certified Astro Gemologists. An Astro gemologist is not a person who practices Astrology and gives gem therapy but one who is a certified Astrologer and a Qualified Gemologist. Among a plethora of websites that have faceless identities as consultants. To view the team please click here.

At any given time our weekly average of Gem recommendation reports are around 70. These are paid customers who have made this payment because they are serious about gem therapy and have gone in detail about the contents of the Gem report. Each gem report is done by a qualified Astro Gemologist and takes anywhere from 3-5 hours to a couple of days. So, you can easily understand our predicament. For us at Gemstoneuniverse planetary gemology is a passion and we are not driven by sales but a real cause of serving our Guru, the sacred science of Gemology and a sincere desire to be of some help to individuals to have a positive development and bringing desired results.

Hence we do not just predict a gemstone by a Rashi, Lagna or dasha but by keeping several factors in mind. How can we as professionals put our reputation on the line by such casual practices.

Before you send us random requests to suggest a Gemstone for you, such as this , Can I wear a Gomedh is it suitable to me my dob is 24/xx/1981 time of birth 21.55pm in night, place of birth Baroda Gujarat, can wearing of Gomedh cause loss of position or a query such as my Saturn is in 8th house aspected by Jupiter should I wear Blue Sapphire? Or I have been recommended to wear a Yellow Sapphire of 3 carats, just check if this weight is Ok and I will buy from your Yellow Sapphire section.

Please understand that you are causing a big disservice to paid customers, qualified consultants who put in their best efforts to deliver the best value. We never encourage such discussions for it is a sheer waste of time and resources and we have statistical evidence of planetary gem therapy never being implemented in such cases.

There are some people who mark a bcc to 100 consultants asking for their opinion by just randomly distributing their data. Please do not debase and undermine your horoscope and encourage casual discussion. Your horoscope is your whole life and a good consultant can read everything. If it was a 5 minute job and a not a 3 hour one as it is in our case we would have helped.

Hence, enabling statements such as just tell me the Gemstone and I will buy from you does not work at Gemstone universe. We are not driven by sales and commerce. We are driven by service, passion and goodwill. Please buy from anywhere; just ensure that it is recommended in your chart and that the gem is natural.

The live messenger team is dedicated to the service of Planetary Gemology and is for helping those who require assistance in this intricate world of planetary gems, gem treatments  etc which can be quite intimidating at first.

Our recommendation is a 12- 14 page recommendation that is done by a certified consultant. Please click here to read the methodology of analysis (Not a single person who requested a random recommendation had the patience to go through this section- Our server logs are a proof)  and the content of the report before you waste the time of somebody who is trying to do a good job, waste the time of serious individuals who have paid for the report and waste your time hitting 500 clicks on the website without doing anything.  It is our humble request, much as we would like to help you we are not in a position to do that for reasons explained herein.

And Lastly Karmik life map cannot be altered so easily. Read more about this by clicking here.

Subtle and understated Venus Talisman Ring- Diamond the Gemstone of Venus set in White gold eternity Diamond ring! And other substitutes for Diamond!

Venus Trinity Ring-Diamond for Venus-Gemstineuniverse.com

Gemstone Diamond
Weight 21 cents or .21 carats
Treatment Natural Diamond
Origin South Africa
Planetary Energy Venus/ Shukra
Patron Location Bangalore/India
All inclusive Price $458/INR 21,000
Comments Subtle and understated Venus Talisman. This is also one aspect of personality of Venus. The white gold with just a tint of Yellow gives the talisman a sophisticated look. The ring shank is designed like an orbit halo that is tapering as it comes near the Diamond. Lovely Venus Energies.

Among all nine gemstones only Diamond should NOT touch the skin for optimum effects. This is because Diamond works more by refraction than by reflection.  However the aperture underneath the Diamond should be open for full movement of light. The Diamond should be slightly mounted for best results.

For planetary Jyotish Purposes Diamonds give very good results in 14k gold, 18k Gold, White Gold and Platinum as compared to Silver which is more of a moon element. Many websites that say that Diamond should be worn in silver are poor cut and paste jobs.

Diamonds are quite expensive. Other substitute gemstones that give good results for Venus are White Sapphire, Blue Topaz and colorless quartz in this particular order.

I have heard and recommended to wear a Burmese Pearl as these are of superior Quality- 100% incorrect statement with full potential for failure of Gem therapy. Things we don’t like series- But this will help you avoid the pitfalls.

A Rare Mother of Pearl exhibit from the Gemstoneuniverse.com collection of Fine Natural Gemstones

Today we got an interesting demand on phone from a client who asked for Burmese pearl and said that I have heard from someone that Burmese Pearl is of superior quality. Our answer was just straightforward please get a radiography report for the Pearl stating that it is fully non nucleated and natural pearl formed from Nacre.

For planetary gem therapy purposes the Pearl has to be fully Natural go get any kind of results for the Moon.

Please click on the link below to get details about What is a Natural Pearl:

http://www.p-g-a.org/pearls.html

A Pearl that does not satisfy the criteria given on the page above is a bluff pearl and should be avoided for Astrological purposes.

Coming back to Burmese Pearl, the way consultants try to do  a hard sell for bluff goods is really shameful. We try very hard in service of Planetary Gemmology to ensure that gem therapy does not get a bad name due to a few bad eggs. But such things have the potential to defeat our purpose.

Please note that the Gem therapy if implemented properly never fails and gives the best results among all methods of remedies. Some of the factors listed below lead to poor results in the field of Planetary Gemmology:

– Ill informed clients who do not check references of consultants.

– Incorrect statements such as the title of this write up.

– Lack of certification.

– Confused mind.

More details about Gem Therapy failures can be found at the link below which has Guruji Shrii Arnav’s enlightening article:

http://www.gemstoneuniverse.com/gemsdontwork.php

– Misnomers such as Bala’s ruby and incorrect assessment of charts.

So what’s the story of Burmese Pearl:

What has happened to the famed Burmese pearls?

The famed gold and silver pearls of Burma (now Myanmar ) are grown in the Andaman   Sea that surrounds the unspoiled islands of the Myeik (formely Mergui) Archipelago off the south eastern coastline of Myanmar .

Today, Myanmar (Burmese) pearls are available either as bead nucleated cultured pearls, or as very rare natural baroque pearls. By far the most coveted of Myanmar pearls are those pearls of golden color whose nacre has a distinctively rose overtone.

Note: These are not Natural Pearls

A brief history

British colonists engaged in diving for natural pearls in the waters off the Myeik Archipelago as early as 1891. After Burma gained independence from Britain , around 1950, a Japanese-owned company engaged divers to search for natural pearls. These were sold in international markets for very high prices. As these natural pearls soon became very popular, Burmese pearls? began acquiring a reputation as being one of the world?s finest varieties. One reason for this popularity was that 40 percent of these pearls were of a golden rose color, unlike those from Indonesia , Australia and the Philippines , which are generally more silvery or yellow in color.

The pearling industry was eventually nationalized under the socialist regime of General Ne Win, and attempts were made to develop a strictly Burmese cultured pearl industry. However, by 1988 this endeavor had not been economically successful, so the then military government decided to embrace a free market philosophy. By 1996 foreign pearling companies began investing in Myanmar in joint ventures with companies from Myanmar . The first was the Thai joint venture company Andaman Pearl Co. Others presently engaged in pearl culture include locally owned Myanmar Pearl Enterprises, Orient Pearl Co, and Niino Co, as well as a Japanese joint venture Myanmar Tasaki Co and the Australian joint venture Myanmar Atlantic Pearl Co. Due to the depletion of natural stock of the gold-lipped pearl oyster (pinctada maxima), the current pearl cultivation industry in Myanmar is based on mature 2 year old stock reared by spat culture.

How pearls are produced?

Dr Thant Thaw Kaung, General Manager of Myanmar Atlantic Pearl Co provided the following description of modern pearl cultivation in Myanmar in an interview with Dr Sien Tu that was published on www.myanmar.com

Carefully selected P. Maxima, harvested from the waters of the Myeik Archipelago are allowed to spawn in the laboratory from January to May. Twenty females and six males are placed together in each water tank. When the temperature is suddenly increased the male oysters release sperm and the females ova into the water. These seek each other out and become larvae that attach themselves to knotted ropes that are let down into the water of onshore tanks. After 45 days the ropes are raised and placed in panels that are located in ocean water leased by the company. This area is declared ?Out of Bounds? to fishermen and unauthorized ships and boats, and this order is enforced by the Myanmar Navy.

By the end of their second year of growth, the oysters are about 10cm across and ready for seeding with MOP nucleus and mantle tissue from a ?sacrifice oyster?. Japanese technicians generally have to be hired; they are the best in the world and can seed up to 600 oysters a day. And their success rate of 80 percent is phenomenal; of every 100 oysters they seed, 80 will produce pearls.

By the end of their fourth year of life the oysters are harvested. The shells are reopened and the pearl extracted; and while it is still open you can immediately insert another nucleus. This process can be repeated two or three times during the oyster?s life, after which it has grown too old and is released in the ocean to begin life anew as a wild oyster. (Remember, the citizens of Myanmar are Buddhists; so they will not kill the oyster to get at its pearl).

The GM continued: ?Our main base of operation is at Escape   Bay , located about 70 miles from Myeik. We have over 100 employees. The Australian managers at the Pearl farm and skilled Japanese technicians have been training Myanmar workers in all aspects of the job with no reservations about transfer of technology and Myanmars are fast acquiring technical expertise in pearl farming. Two of our workers are now as skilled ad Japanese technicians in surgical seeding of oysters.

We have been very successful in marketing our pearls locally at the Nandawun sales outlet in Yangon because our customers know that all the pearls traded at the Center come from our own Pearl farm. Furthermore they know that our pearls are untreated, natural pearls. This is very important in marketing. The demand for Myanmar pearls has outstripped the supply, with the result that unscrupulous traders are importing cheap foreign pearls and dyeing them to get a golden color. The dye fades in about a year?s time and the pearls become yellow. But before this happens, they enjoy a brisk sale among those who cannot tell the difference between natural and treated pearls. We guarantee that our pearls are untreated and undyed and customers have come to accept our word.

Myanmar Atlantic had invested millions of dollars in the project. For the first five years money was poured in without any returns. But now the investment has paid off and in the usual course of events we can expect to sit back and reap the profits.

However, there was a worldwide glut or oversupply of pearls and prices declined. In 1988, one mome (equivalent to 20.625 ratis) fetched US$500. During this period of recession it was all we could do to get US$100 to US$150.

The main reason for this is the economic doldrums that has for the past three years depressed consumer spending in Japan , the world?s largest pearl market, and this has led to a reduced demand for pearls from traditional Japanese customers. But recently the Japanese economy has been showing signs of an economic upturn and this will, hopefully, result in a resurgence of trade in the pearl industry.

Current status.

Recent estimates suggest that Myanmar currently produces 42 kan (0.15 tons) of bead nucleated cultured pearls that have an average diameter of 10mm. These pearls are sold at periodic Myanmar Gems Emporiums that re held in Yangon , or in the local market.

Welcome back the Burmese (Myanmar) cultured pearl. However, I wonder what portion of this industry survived the tsunami of late December 2004.

Our Take:

Burmese or no Burmese insist on a Radiography report and in case you cannot do a Natural Pearl opt for the best upratna for Natural Pearl-Blue Moonstone and if even that is not an option, then Planetary Gem Therapy may not necessarily be the best option for you. It would be worthwhile to explore something else.

What is a Natural Pearl?

Natural Pearl is the gemstone of moon. Today only 1% of Pearls available in the world are fully Natural Pearls. Natural Pearls are non nucleated, not tissue cultured, all nacre and are formulated entirely by accident in nature. It is very important that your Natural Pearl should have a radiography report in addition to certification to prove that it is a Natural pearl. It is mandatory according to law that Natural Pearls come with certification and Radiography report. In case either is missing then the Pearl is not natural and has no Astrological Value.
