Such is the Basra pearl that is featured today. A 2.99 carat wonder – fully natural and organic Basra Pearl. The organic gem has a light cream color and displays ever-so-slight iridescence. (The phenomenon of iridescence also sometimes referred to as goniochromism or pearlescence, is generally known as the property of certain surfaces that appear to change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes. The phenomenon is a strong one as displayed by materials like ‘mother of pearl’. )

The Basra pearl has been set in Sterling Silver as Moon Talisman. Please note that this is a special Planetary bhasma ring, with the sacred herbal ash of the Palash herb (also known by a beautiful English name – Flame of the Forest) sealed into the tubular channel that forms the design element.
