Spoiler Alert!

Spoiler Alert!

As a web based product /service providing organization Gemstoneuniverse has always been very- very conscientious and has remained above board in its dealing with every single individual it takes on in the capacity of a ‘client’. However, spoiler alert sounded for us the first time when an individual went beyond the limits of propriety and engaged in disappointing behaviour despite due procedures at our end, in fact it has been a service where we have stretched our self and gone beyond the call of duty to ensure customer satisfaction.

It made us sit back and wonder whether a slogan similar to caveat emptor has been devised for the sellers/ service providers. The organization has been very straight, moving with a very linear perspective about our responsibility to our clients/ customers. This particular event of bad client attitude left a bad taste in the mouth.

It is not so surprising anymore to see the number of results Google throws up when you key in the term ‘Bad client’. In fact there is an important piece of wisdom given at the outset – One of the best ways to maintain good relationships with clients is to avoid the bad clients in the first place.  There are several indicators mentioned that are characteristic to a ‘bad client’.

At Gemstone Universe we begin with a belief in the goodness and sincerity of individuals we interact with and it is very much a part of the core values and culture followed within this organization.

Our impeccable record is there for one and all to see through testimonials of the multitude of clients. Also the volumes would not manifest without dedicated work and quality controls in place. Gemstone Universe was awarded Excellence in Exports Award from the Jewellers Association at its 36th General Body Meeting. This award is given to companies for excellence in business practices, exceptional product quality and the sheer range of clientele worldwide, the company caters to! Need we say more? Every product that is shipped out of here passes through stringent checks and control points to get the necessary certification. Please click here to go through Gemstone Universe’s certification process.  It is this process that endears us to our clients worldwide.

Also there is such a great degree of transparency in our dealings that many products get a mention on the blog with its description, exact cost and the patron location. There’s practically nothing to hide. You could calculate our taxes if you kept tabs on our sales! Go for it.

We do believe that we do good work and it is definitely unsettling for our competitors and enough to stir up a fair amount of insecurity. There will always be someone hacking away at your roots if you are doing something worthwhile.

We do encounter bad eggs, who are just sniffing around for information. But much to their dismay, the technical, legal and technological arm at gemstone universe is sound and has systems and devices in place to ensure tracking of individuals with malicious intent and bring them to justice. Detailed records of all communication are maintained for reference.

Then there are also people who try to pose as buyers and are in turn looking for a kill by selling products further on auction websites. We would like to inform you that no third party has the rights to sell Gemstone Universe products. We have no franchisees or agents or dealer.

We remain committed to our mission and will continue to do our best. Meanwhile, do lie back tonight and give a thought to your duty as a client, beside your privileges…for once!

Cases where we reserve the right in not taking on an Individual as a client/patron

At Gemstoneuniverse and Astro Journey we are driven by values of excellence and service and not merely by sales. For the last decade our consultancy fee has been constant and is charged just to keep trash out of our inbox.

Today we are the only organization in the world that has maximum world class professionals – each one certified by the GIA-Gemological Institute of America.

For us every service or product that we provide is an opportunity to be, add value and contribute positively to an individual’s life and we take it very seriously.

Despite the sheer quantum of work we do, we ensure flawless products and services for flawless results and that’s why we are the Gold Standard and receive industry recognition and accolades from our clients worldwide. This can be viewed by the testimonials that we have on the website including the Video testimonials and the awards that we receive.

The sheer volume of work that we do and the results we deliver means that we have to optimize our time and the time of a professional is very valuable and limited. We have to give our best to our clients who have reposed faith in us.

GIA Conducts exclusive workshop at Gemstoneuniverse

In such a scenario, there are some cases where we feel that flaws can creep into our perfect process, which is unacceptable by our standards. These are some example cases below where the management committee decides not to accept an order. This decision is final and no further communication is encouraged in this regard.

Time reply rate to an e mail at our organization is a minimum 3 minutes average to a maximum 14 hours unless there are special cases that require more consideration, and these are personalized replies. To be able to do all this we would need to make a choice!

Some example cases wherein the order is not accepted:

You type in 1000 words for a question and a reply of 500 words is unacceptable.

(Well, the less said the better. There is a resource wherein we clearly explain about the quality of your question. This resource can be accessed by clicking here). Everybody communicates differently. If your benchmark is the word count program rather than quality of the communication you need to make a different choice).

Changing an active sentence to passive or direct to indirect again and again is not our style of communication. Verbose answers do not imply effective solution. Vedic astrology has very exact answers for specific questions. If you are looking for spiels or lengthy expositions, you should be looking out for a counselling session or discourses!

You Order a 1 question report and your question reads – Please tell me about my career for the next 10 years.

You forward our recommendation and report to several consultants without our permission, compromising on several important data that we would not like to be shared. Similarly you forward the recommendations of other consultants to us. We see this as a BIAS causing information that will surely shove objectivity required out of the window!

You order a report once and using the same report code you keep on asking fresh questions.

You order an entry level Emerald from the website wherein there is an accurate picture and the description reads 85% clarity levels and then you send a mail that reads: I just completed my order. I hope to receive my eye clean emerald very soon.

Most of your Astrology Information or Gemstone information is based on online research and you have no idea about Divisional charts or color/ tonal quality of the Gemstone and still would like to keep discussing your information.

In such cases, it becomes amply clear to the management that you do not understand what we exactly do and do not value the time of a professional.

In similar cases we will not take you on as a client/ patron.

This is to ensure that we provide flawless products and services that lead to flawless results and those who are genuine patrons get the maximum attention.

Much as we value your patronage, our value and dedication to our patrons and the value addition that we bring to the world of Planetary Gemology forces us to make this choice. We wish you well in life.

Gemstoneuniverse- Precious Gemstones for Precious People

Help! My Astrologer says that my Emerald has become white because it has prevented big accident yoga and the Jeweller says that the Emerald has soaked up all my negativity-The Gemstone Pyramid and the truth about Indian Taste Ka Ghatiya Maal- Things we don’t like and you shouldn’t either.

BUYER BEWARE!-Scam Alert!

In our day to day practice we meet several individuals, who make statements similar to the one above. An interesting case happened last week wherein one customer said that that his Emerald has become white after one year of usage. When he reported it to his Astrologer the latter said that the Gem has prevented big accident yoga and made you safe. He next went to the Jeweller who had been recommended by his Astrologer. The Jeweller said that this was nothing new for him and he has seen several cases where a good gemstone had soaked up all negativity from the body!

Well, it is an outright scam and this particular nexus of the Astrologer and the Jeweller is at best an UNHOLY ALLIANCE. Time to change both!

Let us begin with telling you about the global perception. A shocking and demeaning statement was made by a Gemstone intermediary in Bangkok that opened our eyes. Now, this gentleman has been trading and acting like an intermediary (taking Gemstone parcels) from one office to another and has no gemological knowledge. Nada. None, except that he takes a parcel from one dealer at $X and sells to another at $X+10%. At an International Gem and Jewellery show he approached one of the team members and said that he had top quality Emeralds.

Well, the next logical step was to ask him to show his goods. The parcel he opened was of a non gem grade beryl rough heavily treated with Joban-Color dyed oil (more about this later). Showing them and with a big grin says: “Only $1(INR 45) per carat emerald for 1000 carats, Top Quality Indian Taste Ka Ghatiya Maal “ (Literally translated: specific material for Indian Taste consumer/ jeweller who seeks out the cheapest low non gem grade material, and this stuff ranks highest in that category).

Our response made him disappear in less than 30 seconds but the revelation about the Indian Jewelers  taste and the sweeping Generalization about the consumer preference spoilt our entire day.

A Glorious Past

This is the country that has given the world most prized gemstones in the world and Indians have had taste for the best gemstones throughout the ages.  There was a time when in India Diamonds below the weight of 3 carats were not even valued and traded for they had no time. They were occupied in grading and trading of Diamonds above 3 carats! -this is a historical fact. Do read Tavernier’s travels in India and you will know about the glorious Gem culture of this great country.

Reality Dawns

The above low- cost non-gem grade material is bought by unethical jewellers at $5( INR 225) per carat and then retailed to consumers  who have been recommended to wear a 5 carat emerald by the Astrologer at a price point of $22-$44 per carat( INR 1000-INR 2000) per carat. No wonder people are seen wearing a 5 carat Emerald for a net price of $110/-. Removal of accident and negativity is of course free! The mathematics of sourcing gems at cost $1 and selling at a price of $ 44 – Whoa! this is too cool a business!

Industry statistics reveal that India is the largest market for non- gem grade, low-grade gem material and most of the scrap is imported into India. Please see the Gemstone pyramid (Highlighted area makes up the majority of Indian market). Most of the discarded goods reach India.

Jyotish quality Gemstones would be top grade or high grade, not lesser.

How the Emerald/Yellow Sapphire becomes white.

Non Gem Grade Beryl-Bogus Emerald treated with Joban Oil Non Gem Grade Beryl-Bogus Emerald treated with Joban Oil

Non Gem Grade Beryl sold as Natural emerald and became white after a use of an Year

The stone in the picture above is not a gemstone. It is Non-Gem Grade beryl that has been treated with Joban.  Joban is green colored oil– Oil that has been made green by adding a plant based dye. This is the most common treatment of choice in commercial grade goods coming from India and sold in India.

Leave alone Jyotish even in the Gem Trade it is considered as an UNETHICAL treatment. The green oil seeps into the white non gem grade ore to make it look like a beautiful Emerald. Eventually with normal usage the oil dissipates leaving what the mineral actually is. When the consumer is perplexed by the change in the stone,  he is taken for another ride by the Astrologer who hands him out a candy by saying the color evaporated and has saved you from a major accident and by the jeweller who says that it has absorbed all negativity and that’s why it has become white.  Producers of these goods justify Joban Treatment by saying; It is just like the make-up your wife puts on. (A demeaning statement that could spell trouble eitherway!)

Any reputed Gem Lab will identify this treatment and make an entry in the report as Code: T-Joban

Outright Fraud!

Low Grade Yellow Sapphire color enhanced by Dyeing and Irradiation with Cobalt60 Low Grade Yellow Sapphire color enhanced by Dyeing and Irradiation with Cobalt60

Low grade Yellow Sapphire that became white in 3 months.

Again, the above is a stone- but not a gemstone. It is a low grade yellow sapphire from Sri Lanka that combines two treatments. One is dyeing with material that has got the same Refractive Index as the mineral and second by irradiation with Cobalt 60. Just exposure to strong sunlight will make the color leave the gemstone leaving what you are seeing-Scrap!

Yes, there are Gemstones that are sensitive to light (Light Sensitive Gemstones) such as one member of the Quartz Family-Amethyst. A natural Amethyst may show fading of color when exposed to strong Sunlight but the above two samples are outright frauds.

India-The sacred Land of the Navaratnas!

India is the land that has given this world the sacred and powerful science of Navaratnas and their profound impact on Human life. Yes there are miracle cases where a Blue Sapphire becomes cracked by preventing a real time accident and saving a life but none of the sacred Navaratnas/ sacred nine gemstones- Ruby, Natural Pearl, Red Coral, Emerald, Yellow Sapphire, Diamond/ White Sapphire, Blue Sapphire, Hessonite and Cat’s Eye change color or become white if they are natural, untreated and Jyotish Quality!

Never ever wear a poor quality Gemstone. The Sacred Garuda Purana says:

If an individual wears a Gemstone that has many flaws even out of ignorance then he will be tormented by grief, loss of wealth, anxiety, illness and evils of many Kinds.

-Garuda Purana (70.9)

Next time if somebody tells you that your Emerald has become white because it has prevented a big accident yoga and the Jeweller says that the Emerald has soaked up all the negativity-YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Raktambar Neelam- An irresponsible advice and information about one of the most dangerous gemstones of the world-The Khooni Neelam or the Rakthmukhi Neelam-The Blue Sapphire capable of causing death!

January 24, 2011 by gemstoneuniverse 4 Comments

Raktambar Neelam- An irresponsible advice and information about one of the most dangerous gemstones of the world-The Khooni Neelam or the Rakthmukhi Neelam-The Blue Sapphire capable of causing death!

A couple of weeks back the Gemstoneuniverse team received an e mail that reads :

My  *** has been suffering heavy loss in business for past 7 years. Almost from riches to rags! We have approached an expert astrologer and he suggested my father to wear raktambar neelam. We are from *****.We have searched almost 20 shops but we could not get the raktambar neelam, Astrologer says it’s reddish sapphire. We found finally naturally purple sapphire available in above 6 ratti. My question is raktambar Neelam available? If at all, where? Is it suggestible to substitute purple sapphire for raktambar Neelam as it has reddish glow in sapphire? Please advice as soon as possible!

(Note: Areas blanked out to protect privacy.)

At the very outset I would like to state that there is nothing known in this world as Raktambar Neelam – neither in the Shastras – sacred texts, nor in the normal and ethical gem trade. It seems that this term has been coined to take individuals for a solid ride or maybe this is a case wherein the consultant is plain misinformed and in all likelihood, the person making this recommendation is no expert.

The word Raktambar it is a composite of two words: Rakt ( meaning Blood) and Ambar( meaning sky). Hence Raktambar in context of the stone would translate into a Gemstone having a Blood Red Shade. Raktambar Neelam would translate into a Blue Sapphire having a Blood Red Color. Kindly note that the word Neelam is used to characterize the Blue of a Blue Sapphire. Fancy term this “Rakthambar”

Now from a Gemologists viewpoint there are Red Sapphires and Pink Sapphires in this world but they are NOT Blue Sapphires/ Neelam.

“Once in a while Ruby is defined as corundum that’s colored mainly by Chromium, a metallic element incorporated into the mineral as an impurity. Dr. Horst Krupp, a mineralologist and dealer, says he determines if a stone is a ruby with the aid if a spectroscope, an instrument which measures how the stone absorbs light. If a reddish corundum stone shows lines in the spectroscope indicating the color is clearly coming from the presence of chromium, then he calls it a ruby; otherwise he calls it a red sapphire. He was taught to define rubies this way at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. ”

Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald buying guide by Renee Newman GG, MA

It would be sensible to stop wasting precious time searching for this elusive Raktambar Neelam and after reading this you definitely may want to reconsider your choice of consultant!

So what actually is a Khooni Neelam/ Rakthmukhi Neelam or Rakthmukhi Neela:

It is one of the most dangerous gemstones in this world. Yes, there are others that are even more dangerous but this makes it to the group of death or more aptly cursed Gemstones of the world.

A Khooni Neelam literally means a Neelam/Blue Sapphire capable of causing bloodshed. Khooni means murderous.  A Khooni Neelam is a Blue Sapphire that has Red colored feather like inclusions, or red colored, dot like inclusions or has a Bluish Red Shade.  This Blue Sapphire is supposed to give rapid gains to the individual including tremendous inflow of wealth, name and success and it is promoted like that. There are individuals who at the time of desperation find these fancy hooks terribly attractive.

It is called Khooni Neelam because it will give death – that is certain. To some people whom it suits, there may be temporary gains that may give the illusion that you are travelling at the speed of light but the ultimate result is Death. I have personally known two cases where this has happened. In one case it happened instantly – Within one day of wearing and in another case after 5 years of wearing.

The whole family was wiped out in an accident. So whatever reason somebody tells you, Saturn Mars’s conjunction or Saturn Rahu conjunction – Never ever use this gemstone that is Khooni Neelam. Never put your life at risk and the lives of your loved ones at risk.

In this business called life you will have profits and losses but till you are alive, the almighty shall give you the resources, intelligence and talent to tide over a time frame that may appear unfortunate but never ever try a Khooni Neelam. And the individual, who is advises you to try it- is not your friend.

One of the famous Cursed Gemstones of the World is the Delhi Purple Sapphire.

Heron Allen cursed amethyst-The Delhi Purple Sapphire

Called as the Delhi purple sapphire this one is actually an Amethyst better known as the Heron-Allen amethyst, that was looted during the Indian mutiny in  1855 and brought to Britain. Everyone who owned the amethyst since that time suffered disaster and misfortune. According to Edward Heron-Allen, a scientist, friend of Oscar Wilde and the amethyst’s last owner., owner of the stone from 1890, it was ‘cursed and stained with blood’. After  discovering its sinister history he gave it to his bank with instructions for it not to be opened until three years after his death.

Heron-Allen claimed to have been so disturbed that he had surrounded the amethyst with supposedly protective charms and sealed it inside seven boxes before  leaving it to the museum in his will. His letter concluded: “Whoever shall then open it, shall first read out this warning, and then do as he pleases with the jewel. My advice to him or her is to cast it into the sea”

This is also my advice should you come across the Khooni Neelam

A small prayer for you, which you should also recite for yourself, your loved ones and the whole universe

Sarve bhavantu sukhinah= may all be happy
Sarve santu niramayah= may all be free from disease
Sarve bhadrani pashyantu = may all see good and auspicious in everything.
Ma kaschit duhkha bhaag bhaveet– may none be unhappy or in distress
Om shantih, shantih, shantih-Om peace, peace, peace!

With Love and Prayers,

I remain

Give me your rock bottom price – Sure, but before you ask us to do that, do read up on the Sapphire demand and how fine quality gemstones are free from any recession.

Give me your rock bottom price – Sure, but before you ask us to do that, do read up on the Sapphire demand and how fine quality gemstones are free from any recession.

(Note: A recent conversation on our online chat support has prompted this post. )

Q: I Need a Yellow Sapphire of 5+ carat weight, give me your rock bottom price.

A: Whatever is Jyotish Quality is already listed on the website. Please check the online inventory. Prices that are stated there stand good as they are!

In one of the earlier Blog posts,  we had stated that the online messenger service is run by professional PGA Graduates who are highly trained resources and why we value our time and your time, still some days are not so smooth.

On these bad hair days, we receive people chatting under different aliases but with the same IP address asking the same question nth time and some have the audacity to even let us know that if all information is on the website what is the use of the online messenger service :). And some force us to write blog posts about domestic shipping rates and reinvent the wheel!

Keeping our discussion regarding Sapphire sales, recession has not hit demand or supply of fine quality gemstones. Fine quality Gemstones are still in heavy demand.

All major auctions have recorded strong sales and this can be viewed from the Table Excerpted from Rapaport Magazine below. Public  Auction Sales for December 2009.

Fine quality Ceylon Sapphires continue to sell at $5000 per carat and above and these prices are not going to go down. These are only going to go up. Quality, rarity, fine color and lack of treatment have had value since centuries and will continue to do so. These are public auctions.

Please note the following facts:

– 1) We deal only in Jyotish Quality Gemstones! We do not deal in opaque rocks that don’t work. So if you want a $50 per carat clean Yellow Sapphires, you need to put that application to the almighty only!  For such miracles you need to turn to the right avenue.

-2) We don’t claim. We Mean it. Over the year you have seen several lots and our own roughs that we feature here on the blog. When we say we make you available the best Gemstones at 1/6th of the price we mean it because we own our own roughs! Your Gemstone has a lifetime buy back guarantee and you have independent certification and appraisal. If still your mind has the capacity to manufacture some permutations and combination’s, good luck!

-3) We understand that discerning patrons have some special demands. Demands for a Basra Pearl or a 6+ Carat Jyotish Quality Emerald qualify on this. But these valuable patrons have built trust and relationships with us over several years and clearly state their requirements, make a deposit for the same and wait patiently. The Basra Pearl featured yesterday was result of such a patient search that lasted 2+ years.

-4) Every Sapphire you buy from Gemstoneuniverse will appreciate in value over time and will deliver results. But more than that you will get the promised, Jyotish Quality results of Sattvik Gemstone!

We are here for you; We are here for planetary Gemology!

Oh you live in West Bengal, Assam or Orissa. We think we can say what gemstones you are wearing without even looking at your hands, and, yes we do not have esp. abilities- Individuals residing in these States beware of a scam in the name of planetary Gemology.

Oh you live in West Bengal, Assam or Orissa. We think we can say what gemstones you are wearing without even looking at your hands, and, yes we do not have esp. abilities- Individuals residing in these States beware of a scam in the name of planetary Gemology.

India is the mother of the sacred science of Planetary Gemology. This is the only developed system of Gem recommendation that has such an extensive methodology and wherein the results obtained sometimes are phenomenal.

Ask some of those individuals who have experience d the  power of a real Blue Sapphire or a real Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl and you will get some wonderful stories about how strange events after wearing the Gemstone bough about a desirable change in several aspects of life.

At Gemstoneuniverse, Planetary Gemology is a passion and it pains us when we see a blatant abuse of Gem Therapy.

That brings us to the subject of Gem recommendations in the states of West Bengal, Assam, Orissa. It’s a pity that such things happen in areas that were once the seat of Indian tantra.

The top 3 bluff gemstones worn by individuals in West Bengal, Assam or Orissa:

1) Hessonite- Also called as Gomedh or Gomedhaka.

2) Pearl- Also called as Moti

3) Red Coral also known as Moonga

The 4th spot is a close fight between a huge color dyed Yellow Sapphire or a grey colored Cat’s Eye Quartz.

This bring us to question several things the chief among them would be:

1) How come 90% of the people in these states manage to get the same gemstone recommendation.

2) How come none of them ever question the quality of the recommendation or the gemstone.

As per a survey conducted by us neither people were confident about talking about the results they experienced after wearing these gemstones neither there were any positive events after implementation of this therapy.

The answer to his question is mass commercialization and the unholy nexus between bluff Astrologers and equally unethical Jewellers.

As they say , a picture speaks a thousand words, Here are some sample of Gemstones worn by individuals in name of planetary Gemology. Next time you are travelling to these states or have a friend from any of these states have a look at the stones (yes stone, they are not wearing gemstones), 99.99% you will see stones of which pictured are produced below.

Bluff Gomedh/Hessonite

Sold on an auction website as 4.34 carats Natural Gomed Hessonite Rashi Gem for Rahu.  Certified Stone.

When we talk about Jyotish Quality Stones we talk about clarity and lack of treatment. This is nowhere a Jyotish Quality Gemstone. It is an ugly rock and not a beautiful gemstone. Can you see any light passing through the dense mineral matrix! Look for marks on the surface and lack of lustre/ polish. This is a sample of mineral Hessonite Mined  in Gaya in Bihar.

Bluff Pearl/Cultured Pearl

Listing on an auction website as Huge 14.20 carats Pearl (Moti): Stone for Moon. Very Good results of Chandra.

The Value of this pearl is not even INR 20/$.40. This is a bluff cultured pearl. The strangest way pearl therapy is implemented in these states is that we get to get Individuals wearing Pearls in Index finger/ ring finger/ Little finger.

You must click here to read about what exactly real Natural Pearls are and also check some of the talismans on the blog. This Pearl will not give any results for Moon.

And yes, we get some queries from People who call up and ask whether a 12.25 ratti Pearl is available as He has been recommended one by his Astrologer.

To explain what a natural pearl is to this individuals would be like re-inventing the wheel

A) A Good Astrologer who knows gemstones never makes recommendation in Rattis.

b) If a Natural pearl of 12.25 rattis or more would be available it value would be able to fetch 2-3 prime properties in any of the CBD’s any part of the Globe.

Please wear a Clear Moonstone instead of wearing a fake pearl.

Synthetic Coral from Taiwan

The third abused Gemstone is Red Coral. In these states it is generally observed that Red Coral is worn in ring finger in Gold, Silver or copper. Most importantly the sizes are huge and the certificate does not read Organic Coral. Most of these Corals are sourced from Taiwan and are synthetic and of very poor value.

See Sample Below:

Listed on a Auction website as Red Coral/ Moonga/ Rashi ratna for Mars/ 6.25 ratti.

A fight for the 4th place is a close one between huge 5+ carats Dyed Yellow Sapphire and a Grey colored Quartz Cat’s eye.

What is the truth?

1) None of the gems listed above are anywhere Jyotish Quality.

2) All of them are poor quality products.

3) The cost of procuring this inventory is very low.

4) There is an unholy network between non qualified Astrologers and Jewellers.

5) We see this daily day in day out-still we could not figure out why everyone is wearing the same kind of gemstones.

Please be careful while purchasing these goods in the name of Vedic Gemstone Therapy. Vedic Planetary Gemology is a very powerful science and since time immemorial individuals have used the power of gemstones to achieve their goals and for realization of their desires!

Things we don’t like and you shouldn’t either- The Coral-Red/White that you are wearing might just be a Camel Bone or plastic and has no Jyotish Value. Scam watch alert. Cases leading to failure of Gemstone therapy!

Things we don’t like and you shouldn’t either- The Coral-Red/White that you are wearing might just be a Camel Bone or plastic and has no Jyotish Value. Scam watch alert. Cases leading to failure of Gemstone therapy!

Natural Organic Japanese Organic Red Coral of 4.34 carats.Ventral and Dorsal Views to show wood grain effect. Gemstoneuniverse.com

In recent times we have come across Corals both white and red those are not corals at all. These are sold on various auctions websites and some astrology websites and we actually paid to procure them to unearth this sham.

What is a Coral?

Corals are actually the skeletal remains of a marine polyp. The fleshy skin polyps secrete a carbonic substance from which Coral grows like branches and trees in the warm waters of the ocean at a depth ranging from 10 feet to 500 feet.

Around 95% of the Coral is made up of Calcium Carbonate, around 3 % of magnesium carbonate and trace elements of iron.

There is heavy demand for organic Red Coral from Japan as it has the characteristic Bright Red Uniform color often referred to as the Mediterranean Ox Blood Color as this is much desired.

Heavy Demand leads to a Scam

Recently, we found out that some unethical elements are buying Camel Bone, bleaching it to make it pure white and then dyeing it with Red Dye and finally wax filling it and coating it to produce Red Coral Simulants that are being sold as Red Corals to unsuspecting public. These are priced anywhere from $2(INR 90) per carat $20(around INR 1000) per carat.

Please be aware that these are not Red Corals at all leave alone organic red Corals produced in the sea and have no Jyotish Value and will not deliver the planetary results of Mars. When we contacted many of the sellers on the auction website to ask about the organic nature of the Coral and why it was priced so low- We received Zero, yes Zero replies from the seller.

How to differentiate Real Organic Japanese Red Coral from a Fake One!

The answer lies in the nature. Generally the Ventral/Top side of the Coral is highly polished and is free from any marks or indentations. However the dorsal side/back side of the Japanese Red Coral has the characteristic tell tale wood grain effect– line/lines-white or brown in color, groove pits and striations.

Featured here in this picture is a fine Japanese Red Coral from our collection of fine Natural Planetary Gemstones and Talismans that has both the Ventral and Dorsal Views that will make the marks of nature quite clear. If the dorsal side of the Coral is virtually free from any marks you can be assured 99% of the time that it is not a natural Coral!

Please ensure that when purchasing a Red Coral the certificate should read Natural Organic Red Coral.

What is a Jyotish Quality Coral?

When Did recession start and when did it end- Live report from 46th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Show- Unheated Lot of Burma Rubies- Lowest Grade starts at $3000 per carat and the Highest Grade at $9000 per carat- Where Will the common man who needs Gem Therapy the most afford these! And those consultants who recommend a 5 carat Ruby to the ignorant buyer should watch their step!

Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies Gemstoneuniverse.com Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies Gemstoneuniverse.com

It is the 3rd day of the 46th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Show and this fair evokes mixed feelings. Even though no major deals are happening the prices of natural gemstones are still going higher. This substantiates the fact that Gemstones are the best investment-better than stocks, land, gold or bullion but that story is for later!

The Asia Pacific Buying division of Gemstoneuniverse.com is participating in the show and our patrons who are attending the show and those who are in Thailand are welcome to meet us.

Coming back to the main subject of this report is this rare lot of Burma Rubies (Please see attached pic).  Each one of this pear shaped Imperial Pigeon Blood Burma Rubies has a Gem clarity grade of VV2 or higher. The lowest priced Ruby in this lot is $3000 per carat and the highest one is $9000 per carat.  Hence average price of this lot will be roughly around $6000 per carat (INR 3, 00,000 per carat). Think about it dear patrons- When this price is for hard seasoned professionals who have been able to get this price after hectic negotiations where does the normal individual with no background in Gemology stand. Each of these lovely miracles of nature is certified by GRS and the GIA.

We receive many calls from patrons who do a lot of research on the internet but have never seen or felt a natural ruby in their hand and when these patrons ask for specifics such as Imperial Pigeon Blood color it becomes so difficult to explain.

In addition there are many Astrologers with no knowledge of gemology and no knowledge of the sacred text either who mindlessly give recommendations such as wear a 5 carat Ruby. Here see the truth- it is in front of you.

If you see the natural Ruby inventory at Gemstoneuniverse the average price is $575 per carat( INR 28,750/-) . Don’t Let these go. They will be super effective for Gem therapy and remember we have listed them at this price because we are devoted to the cause and some of the finished rubies in our online inventory was fashioned from the rough that we owned ourselves.  Our online Ruby inventory can be viewed online at the link below:

http://www.gemstoneuniverse.com/choose-gem/natural-ruby-gemstones.html

Remember we told you some months back that we procured a small lot of White Sapphires that was totally natural and unheated after 2 years- we meant it.

Come to the show yourself and among more than a thousand suppliers get us 1 yes you are reading right 1 White Sapphire that is unheated and untreated and weighs above 2 carats. Same for the Natural Burma ruby, Give us a Burma Ruby that is certified Natural above 2 carats below $3000 per carat and we will buy from you.

This report has been written with you in mind. Yes many conclusions come out of this report –Gems as an investment tool and most importantly the future of Natural Unheated Ruby now is Mozambique and Madagascar ruby. Get them while the prices are low.

We at Gemstoneuniverse will still continue to work harder for our dear patrons! Many more pictures from our stall and other reports from the show in a couple of days!

God Bless!

Things we don’t like but this will save us a lot of precious time, save a lot of your time and may help you in taking the right direction- Random requests for Gemstone recommendation, casual discussions of horoscopes! Please don’t waste time and stop us from doing good, quality work!

The live messenger service at Gemstoneuniverse.com is one of its kind!. It is operated and managed by a highly qualified trained team of professionals who are certified Astro Gemologists. An Astro gemologist is not a person who practices Astrology and gives gem therapy but one who is a certified Astrologer and a Qualified Gemologist. Among a plethora of websites that have faceless identities as consultants. To view the team please click here.

At any given time our weekly average of Gem recommendation reports are around 70. These are paid customers who have made this payment because they are serious about gem therapy and have gone in detail about the contents of the Gem report. Each gem report is done by a qualified Astro Gemologist and takes anywhere from 3-5 hours to a couple of days. So, you can easily understand our predicament. For us at Gemstoneuniverse planetary gemology is a passion and we are not driven by sales but a real cause of serving our Guru, the sacred science of Gemology and a sincere desire to be of some help to individuals to have a positive development and bringing desired results.

Hence we do not just predict a gemstone by a Rashi, Lagna or dasha but by keeping several factors in mind. How can we as professionals put our reputation on the line by such casual practices.

Before you send us random requests to suggest a Gemstone for you, such as this , Can I wear a Gomedh is it suitable to me my dob is 24/xx/1981 time of birth 21.55pm in night, place of birth Baroda Gujarat, can wearing of Gomedh cause loss of position or a query such as my Saturn is in 8th house aspected by Jupiter should I wear Blue Sapphire? Or I have been recommended to wear a Yellow Sapphire of 3 carats, just check if this weight is Ok and I will buy from your Yellow Sapphire section.

Please understand that you are causing a big disservice to paid customers, qualified consultants who put in their best efforts to deliver the best value. We never encourage such discussions for it is a sheer waste of time and resources and we have statistical evidence of planetary gem therapy never being implemented in such cases.

There are some people who mark a bcc to 100 consultants asking for their opinion by just randomly distributing their data. Please do not debase and undermine your horoscope and encourage casual discussion. Your horoscope is your whole life and a good consultant can read everything. If it was a 5 minute job and a not a 3 hour one as it is in our case we would have helped.

Hence, enabling statements such as just tell me the Gemstone and I will buy from you does not work at Gemstone universe. We are not driven by sales and commerce. We are driven by service, passion and goodwill. Please buy from anywhere; just ensure that it is recommended in your chart and that the gem is natural.

The live messenger team is dedicated to the service of Planetary Gemology and is for helping those who require assistance in this intricate world of planetary gems, gem treatments  etc which can be quite intimidating at first.

Our recommendation is a 12- 14 page recommendation that is done by a certified consultant. Please click here to read the methodology of analysis (Not a single person who requested a random recommendation had the patience to go through this section- Our server logs are a proof)  and the content of the report before you waste the time of somebody who is trying to do a good job, waste the time of serious individuals who have paid for the report and waste your time hitting 500 clicks on the website without doing anything.  It is our humble request, much as we would like to help you we are not in a position to do that for reasons explained herein.

And Lastly Karmik life map cannot be altered so easily. Read more about this by clicking here.

I have heard and recommended to wear a Burmese Pearl as these are of superior Quality- 100% incorrect statement with full potential for failure of Gem therapy. Things we don’t like series- But this will help you avoid the pitfalls.

I have heard and recommended to wear a Burmese Pearl as these are of superior Quality- 100% incorrect statement with full potential for failure of Gem therapy. Things we don’t like series- But this will help you avoid the pitfalls.

A Rare Mother of Pearl exhibit from the Gemstoneuniverse.com collection of Fine Natural Gemstones

Today we got an interesting demand on phone from a client who asked for Burmese pearl and said that I have heard from someone that Burmese Pearl is of superior quality. Our answer was just straightforward please get a radiography report for the Pearl stating that it is fully non nucleated and natural pearl formed from Nacre.

For planetary gem therapy purposes the Pearl has to be fully Natural go get any kind of results for the Moon.

Please click on the link below to get details about What is a Natural Pearl:

http://www.p-g-a.org/pearls.html

A Pearl that does not satisfy the criteria given on the page above is a bluff pearl and should be avoided for Astrological purposes.

Coming back to Burmese Pearl, the way consultants try to do  a hard sell for bluff goods is really shameful. We try very hard in service of Planetary Gemmology to ensure that gem therapy does not get a bad name due to a few bad eggs. But such things have the potential to defeat our purpose.

Please note that the Gem therapy if implemented properly never fails and gives the best results among all methods of remedies. Some of the factors listed below lead to poor results in the field of Planetary Gemmology:

– Ill informed clients who do not check references of consultants.

– Incorrect statements such as the title of this write up.

– Lack of certification.

– Confused mind.

More details about Gem Therapy failures can be found at the link below which has Guruji Shrii Arnav’s enlightening article:

http://www.gemstoneuniverse.com/gemsdontwork.php

– Misnomers such as Bala’s ruby and incorrect assessment of charts.

So what’s the story of Burmese Pearl:

What has happened to the famed Burmese pearls?

The famed gold and silver pearls of Burma (now Myanmar ) are grown in the Andaman   Sea that surrounds the unspoiled islands of the Myeik (formely Mergui) Archipelago off the south eastern coastline of Myanmar .

Today, Myanmar (Burmese) pearls are available either as bead nucleated cultured pearls, or as very rare natural baroque pearls. By far the most coveted of Myanmar pearls are those pearls of golden color whose nacre has a distinctively rose overtone.

Note: These are not Natural Pearls

A brief history

British colonists engaged in diving for natural pearls in the waters off the Myeik Archipelago as early as 1891. After Burma gained independence from Britain , around 1950, a Japanese-owned company engaged divers to search for natural pearls. These were sold in international markets for very high prices. As these natural pearls soon became very popular, Burmese pearls? began acquiring a reputation as being one of the world?s finest varieties. One reason for this popularity was that 40 percent of these pearls were of a golden rose color, unlike those from Indonesia , Australia and the Philippines , which are generally more silvery or yellow in color.

The pearling industry was eventually nationalized under the socialist regime of General Ne Win, and attempts were made to develop a strictly Burmese cultured pearl industry. However, by 1988 this endeavor had not been economically successful, so the then military government decided to embrace a free market philosophy. By 1996 foreign pearling companies began investing in Myanmar in joint ventures with companies from Myanmar . The first was the Thai joint venture company Andaman Pearl Co. Others presently engaged in pearl culture include locally owned Myanmar Pearl Enterprises, Orient Pearl Co, and Niino Co, as well as a Japanese joint venture Myanmar Tasaki Co and the Australian joint venture Myanmar Atlantic Pearl Co. Due to the depletion of natural stock of the gold-lipped pearl oyster (pinctada maxima), the current pearl cultivation industry in Myanmar is based on mature 2 year old stock reared by spat culture.

How pearls are produced?

Dr Thant Thaw Kaung, General Manager of Myanmar Atlantic Pearl Co provided the following description of modern pearl cultivation in Myanmar in an interview with Dr Sien Tu that was published on www.myanmar.com

Carefully selected P. Maxima, harvested from the waters of the Myeik Archipelago are allowed to spawn in the laboratory from January to May. Twenty females and six males are placed together in each water tank. When the temperature is suddenly increased the male oysters release sperm and the females ova into the water. These seek each other out and become larvae that attach themselves to knotted ropes that are let down into the water of onshore tanks. After 45 days the ropes are raised and placed in panels that are located in ocean water leased by the company. This area is declared ?Out of Bounds? to fishermen and unauthorized ships and boats, and this order is enforced by the Myanmar Navy.

By the end of their second year of growth, the oysters are about 10cm across and ready for seeding with MOP nucleus and mantle tissue from a ?sacrifice oyster?. Japanese technicians generally have to be hired; they are the best in the world and can seed up to 600 oysters a day. And their success rate of 80 percent is phenomenal; of every 100 oysters they seed, 80 will produce pearls.

By the end of their fourth year of life the oysters are harvested. The shells are reopened and the pearl extracted; and while it is still open you can immediately insert another nucleus. This process can be repeated two or three times during the oyster?s life, after which it has grown too old and is released in the ocean to begin life anew as a wild oyster. (Remember, the citizens of Myanmar are Buddhists; so they will not kill the oyster to get at its pearl).

The GM continued: ?Our main base of operation is at Escape   Bay , located about 70 miles from Myeik. We have over 100 employees. The Australian managers at the Pearl farm and skilled Japanese technicians have been training Myanmar workers in all aspects of the job with no reservations about transfer of technology and Myanmars are fast acquiring technical expertise in pearl farming. Two of our workers are now as skilled ad Japanese technicians in surgical seeding of oysters.

We have been very successful in marketing our pearls locally at the Nandawun sales outlet in Yangon because our customers know that all the pearls traded at the Center come from our own Pearl farm. Furthermore they know that our pearls are untreated, natural pearls. This is very important in marketing. The demand for Myanmar pearls has outstripped the supply, with the result that unscrupulous traders are importing cheap foreign pearls and dyeing them to get a golden color. The dye fades in about a year?s time and the pearls become yellow. But before this happens, they enjoy a brisk sale among those who cannot tell the difference between natural and treated pearls. We guarantee that our pearls are untreated and undyed and customers have come to accept our word.

Myanmar Atlantic had invested millions of dollars in the project. For the first five years money was poured in without any returns. But now the investment has paid off and in the usual course of events we can expect to sit back and reap the profits.

However, there was a worldwide glut or oversupply of pearls and prices declined. In 1988, one mome (equivalent to 20.625 ratis) fetched US$500. During this period of recession it was all we could do to get US$100 to US$150.

The main reason for this is the economic doldrums that has for the past three years depressed consumer spending in Japan , the world?s largest pearl market, and this has led to a reduced demand for pearls from traditional Japanese customers. But recently the Japanese economy has been showing signs of an economic upturn and this will, hopefully, result in a resurgence of trade in the pearl industry.

Current status.

Recent estimates suggest that Myanmar currently produces 42 kan (0.15 tons) of bead nucleated cultured pearls that have an average diameter of 10mm. These pearls are sold at periodic Myanmar Gems Emporiums that re held in Yangon , or in the local market.

Welcome back the Burmese (Myanmar) cultured pearl. However, I wonder what portion of this industry survived the tsunami of late December 2004.

The above article can be found at the website of AIGS. Thank you, Graham Brown

for this excellent factual article. We hope nobody will ask a Burmese Pearl from us again.

Our Take:

Burmese or no Burmese insist on a Radiography report and in case you cannot do a Natural Pearl opt for the best upratna for Natural Pearl-Blue Moonstone and if even that is not an option, then Planetary Gem Therapy may not necessarily be the best option for you. It would be worthwhile to explore something else.

Things that we don’t like but those that will help our patrons make the right choices-Fraud Alert 1

Zambian emerald works better than a Colombian Emerald-A distasteful joke, a sad attempt at comedy or a straight fraud-You decide. Things we don’t like-But this will help you avoid the pitfalls

Yesterday was an interesting day at Gemstoneuniverse.com. A patron who had recently ordered a gemstone report from us was recommended an Emerald. This patron called us back and said that he was happy to receive a detailed report from us and that some other consultant from a different organization has recommended him an Emerald using some auric healing technique. That brings us to the first question:

How does one read auras long distance over the internet?

Any answers please.

This consultant also said that Zambian Emerald gives much better results and a Colombian Emerald does not give results. The consultant also went ahead to say that they have a 5+ carat eye clean Zambian emerald for around USD$(3 figures). Whoa!

Excuse us, we are not blind. Even if we get a Zambian Emerald that is eye clean that is 5+ carats we are targeting a price point of $(4 figures) per carat in whole sale or directly from the mine and not a $3figures for the full gemstone.

Colombian Senors and masters of the world gem trade are you listening. This gemstone was being made available to this patron and patron asked us –Is this true?

Well we did some research and apparently found out one gracious patron who asked us is my emerald Jyotish Quality.  Have a look at the picture that he sent. This was made available by the same consultant and this consultant graded this gemstone as Eye clean.

100% Non Jyotish Quality Flawed Emerald from Zambia. No light is passing through the Gemstone 100% Non Jyotish Quality Flawed Emerald from Zambia. No light is passing through the Gemstone

We tried to see all angles of this gemstone and unless 12 individuals have some serious problems with their eyesight we can say this is a 100% flawed, non Jyotish quality, flawed emerald. It is a bluff stone.

Please don’t trust anybody. Just trust your eyes! Please they will help, yes! THIS IS NOT JYOTISH QUALITY. THIS WILL NOT WORK. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR THIS AURIC READING OR NOT!

This made us write this piece.

What is Jyotish Quality?

Please look at this emerald ring made available by Gemstoneuniverse.com to its patron. All relevant details of this ring are posted on this blog. Please go through the details if you wish.

Natural Untreated 90% Eye Clean Colombian Emerald made available to a Gemstoneuniverse.com patron Natural Untreated 90% Eye Clean Colombian Emerald made available to a Gemstoneuniverse.com patron

Here are the facts

-Zambian Emerald gives better results than Colombian- Utter Nonsense and Fraud.

Gem efficacy depends on Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat weight and Lack of treatment. Till these parameters are in place gemstone from any mine will give good results.

–  90% of Vendors in India whether online or retail shops carry just Zambian Emerald with very poor clarity which is not Jyotish Quality.  This is rough waste and the biggest consumer for this is the Indian Market. This is the least expensive and readily available inventory to procure. And they try to justify their gemstone by fraudulent statements like the one above.

– Good Quality Zambian Emerald with 90% clarity will come at minimum $1000 a carat of above in wholesale due to their magnificent deep green color. If you can buy this at this price than you can take an order for 100 carats from us!. It’s a promise!

– The best emerald, bench mark for all Emeralds in terms of beauty or investment is Colombian Emeralds. This is the most expensive inventory to procure, maintain and find access to. It’s our bet that this great auric consultant cannot even differentiate between Chivor, Cosquez or Muzo Mines. Colombian Emerald is available only to the experts or individuals with very deep pockets!

Finally, be cautious, trust your eyes and don’t let planetary gemology fail due to bluff products and bluff consultants!

Be aware, be at peace and most importantly-TRUST YOUR EYES!
