Gemstones are treated to enhance their appearance and to hide flaws so that they look beautiful and attractive.<\/p>\n

There are several treatments for Gemstone enhancement. I am mentioning some of them. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s quite possible that some if these can be applied individually and some in combination.<\/p>\n

I am mentioning some of the most common treatments. Those who have further interest in knowing their details can search with treatment name on Google.<\/p>\n

There are easily searchable and tonnes of information are available on the treatment type.<\/p>\n

Heat Treatment<\/p>\n

Diffusion<\/p>\n

Glass filling<\/p>\n

Dyeing<\/p>\n

Bleaching<\/p>\n

Radiation<\/p>\n

Oil Treatment<\/p>\n

Majority of Gemstones are treated and are mostly consumed for commercial grade Jewelry.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Garuda Purana, Sri Sut Ji Goswami <\/strong>says in the Chapter 72,<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Blue Sapphire subjected to heat or burning to improve color and clarity should never be used by anyone as illness and misfortune will fall on that individual who uses a heated and a burned gem.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n

For Higher Goals, Life solutions and Astrology there is no space for treated gemstones as clearly stated in the reference quote above.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is better not to wear any gemstone rather than a treated gemstone to get a placebo effect or no effect.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The only exception to this rule is of Emerald since the most common treatment for lack of more accurate terminology in English is called as Oil Treatment.<\/p>\n

Minor or moderate amount of oil treatment in majority of Emeralds is accepted as Emerald is most likely to damage because of its unique chemical composition.<\/p>\n
