Unheated Ruby Gemstones from Mozambique-Lot Ashvini
Ruby Gemstone Price-Current market prices per carat of Ruby Stone | Ruby Ring Price
As with all other Gemstones Ruby Gemstone market prices are determined by cut, color, clarity, carat weight, lack of treatment and current demand & supply equations.
The lack of fine quality Burma Rubies in the market has added to the increase in price of rubies from Mozambique, Madagascar and Tanzania. These are the localities that are producing quality rubies that equate to the quality of Burma Rubies. Localities such as Tajikistan produce rubies that are more towards pinkish shade and these are considered to be less expensive.
At the time of writing this price (December 2014), fine Ruby gemstone above 1.5 carats from Mozambique are not being traded in lots. Every Ruby gemstone is being singularly priced that is the extent of rarity and demand. Mozambique is the most preferred and perfect choice of Rubies in absence of fine quality rubies from Burma.
Prices of Indian Ruby is not discussed in this piece because majority of the Indian Ruby pieces are opaque and at the lower end of the gem pyramid. These rubies have a violet/purple tinge with strong banding and inclusions and are not used for planetary gem therapy purposes.
Prices of Thai Rubies are not discussed in this piece as majority of Thai rubies are heat treated and glass filled and have no value for Jyotish Purposes. These may be used for ornamental purposes though. Yo ucan find the ruby ring prices oniline here.
There is a Ruby that is sold in India by the name of New Burma Ruby. It is nothing but commercial quality glass filled ruby. This is also not used for gem therapy purposes. It is available at a B2B price of $2 or INR 120 per carat
Prices for Old Burma Ruby if not too pink and more towards Red with good clarity levels of 80% and above should start at USD ($1000) per carat onwards.

Ruby Stone Treatments especially relevant information for Indian Market
The most common treatment in Ruby is Heat Treatment followed by Glass filling. Treated Gemstones have no value for Astrological purposes and give no results. For a Gemstone to give results of the Planets it should be a Jyotish Gemstone. One should also be aware of composite Ruby which is one of the highest sold varieties in the Indian Market followed by dyed Rubies
