- What should be the budget of my gemstone?
The first and foremost criteria is to ensure that the gemstone is astrologically flawless and has the energy to give potent results and solutions in life. Besides the conventional gemstone judging parameters of cut, color, clarity, luster and carat weight you should first aim that your gemstone is astrologically appropriate as described in the sacred texts. All gemstones in the gemstone vault here at Gemstone Universe are first judged by their Astrological potency. You should buy the best quality that you can afford without any financial pressure.

- Can you send the gemstone by a private courier like FedEx or UPS etc. so that I receive it earlier.
That is not possible. We at Gemstone Universe ensure that your gemstone is appraised and certified by Government of India official agencies for this purpose. This ensures that you get the authentic gemstone at the correct price with no fear of over invoicing or under invoicing. Appraisal and certification by a Government agency makes it mandatory that your package is properly wax sealed and sent by the Government of India postal Department. Only semi precious gemstones of less value set in silver can be sent by private courier.

- What are gem treatments. Is it true that treated gemstones are in effective.
Treatments can be broadly classified as ethical treatments and non ethical treatments. Treatments done to stabilize gem color such as heating without any elements is an ethical treatment provided it is disclosed at the time of the sale. This particular heat treatment is considered acceptable as it mimics a process that occurs in nature.
Treatments done to modify gemstone appearance to sell at a higher price is an unethical treatment. For examples Sapphires treated with Beryllium or Emeralds treated with Green dye and sold as untreated are unethical treatments. When the above conditions operate the gemstone is minimally effective and in some cases it is not effective at all. Natural, Untreated gemstones come at a premium price.

- Are synthetic gemstones effective?
In a single word, NO. They may be used for Jewellery and cosmetic purposes but they have no planetary value.

- I do not have the budget for buying a natural , untreated gemstone.
In that you can do three things
- Wait till you are in a financial position to buy the natural , untreated gemstone.
- But two natural , untreated gemstones of lower weight to get the recommended caratage. A single gemstone of higher weight is more expensive than two gemstones of smaller weight. For example if you have been recommended an Emerald of 4 carats and you cannot go for it buy two emeralds of 2 carats and set them in a single ring or pendant. This can bring the price down to anywhere from 30% to 50%.
- Go for semi precious gemstones or Upa Ratanas. In case you would like to buy Semi Precious gemstones please send us a mail to vedicastro4u@usa.net and mention your requirement.

- Are semi cultured Pearls effective?
No. Only natural pearls have the divine moon energy. In case you cannot go for natural pearl please go for a flawless blue sheen moonstone.

Please preserve the invoice with the Government Seal that is sent along with your package. We will give you a flat 75% buyback at any point of time, even 10 years down the line if the gemstone is not damaged and you have the original papers.
